What if I don’t want my information displayed?
On your community "edit profile" page you can select to make certain information private or public. To remove your location information, go to "my account" at myalli.com or myalliplan and delete it.
How do I display a ticker and my weight information?
Tickers and weight information are only displayed if you are a member of myalliplan. To join myalliplan, simply purchase a bottle of alli and enter the code found in the “Welcome Guide” during your registration.
How do I add to or change my basic information?
You can add or change your city, state, and birthday by going to "my account" at myalli.com or myalliplan. If you are a member of myalliplan, you can edit your start weight and goal weight in your "my account" page. Your current weight is updated during your weekly check-ins.
How do I find and add friends?
You can find friends through the message boards and the real stories. When you roll over their username you will see a small piece of information about them. To add a person as a friend, click on their username to go to their profile. Once there, select "add to favorites" and they will be saved to your list of friends. You can also add them directly from their allistory.
Can I change the display of my friends to my favorite circle?
Once added to your favorites, each of your friends' icons/photos will be displayed in your favorites circle. To remove them from this display, go to "my circle" and select "edit my circle." Under each of your friends is a "hide" button that will remove them from your displayed circle. This will not remove them from your friend list. To remove a friend completely, click the "remove" button in the same display.
Who are the "advocates"?
Advocates are active members who have been identified as leaders of the community.
What's a "newbie"?
A newbie is a new participant in the community. That tag will be displayed automatically for the first 30 days after joining the community.
What are the badges?
Badges are displayed based on different stages, actions, and participation in the community. They are awarded automatically, and up to 6 can be displayed on your profile. If you do not want a particular badge shown, you can remove it in “edit profile” by clicking on the badge and selecting “delete.”
How do I upload a photo?
Save your photo as a .jpg, .gif, or .png and make sure it is not larger than 2MB. From your profile page, go to “edit my community profile.” On the left there is a link where you can upload your photo.
I uploaded my photo, but it's not showing up.
Images go through a monitoring process, therefore they may take up to 24 hrs before they appear. Before you submit an image, you can select an icon to display immediately, and your photo will replace it once it has been approved.
Can I edit a real allistory once it's been posted?
Once a story is posted, it is not editable. Please be sure that all of your information is correct, and that each story is complete before posting it. You do have the option of deleting a story once it’s been posted.
I submitted a story but it is says it’s "pending approval."
Because alli is regulated by the FDA, all stories must be reviewed before they are posted. It might take up to (#) before they appear.
What are the star ratings on my real allistory?
Other community members can rank your story 1-5 stars. Next to each ranking you will see how many times your story has been ranked.
Can I invite others to join the community?
Please do! By going to “my world” you can send a personal invitation to join allicircles to your friends.
What are the medals on the message boards?
Medals are determined by the number of posts you have on the message boards. Here is a breakdown of the medals:
20 posts – Copper
50 posts – Bronze
100 posts – Silver
500 posts – Gold
1000 posts – Platinum
