Shel95:  Good for you! There will be no TE's for you!

Went out with friends again for lunch today and had the most beautiful and delicious Cashew Chicken Salad on a huge bed of fresh fruit and a tall glass of water with lemon!! It was so yummy! I was expecting more lettuce than fruit, but no lettuce...actually 1/4 cup of chicken salad in a small tortilla bowl surrounded by pineapples, watermelon, cantaloupe, strawberries, grapes, honeydew melon, and slices of oranges.  It was so filling too! This makes up for my spare rib choice the other day! :-D

    Re: Pennsylvania Alli's

today was different....I had NO appetite.  I had a wheat bagel with PB and some chocolate milk for breakfast.  A small piece of zucchini bread as a mid morning snack....and I'm still not hungry.  Not that I'm complaining....but I think it's weird that it's close to 5pm and I'm not hungry especially since I didn't eat lunch.  Anyone else experiencing no appetite?  I plan on eating chicken and veggies for dinner.

    Re: Pennsylvania Alli's

I am from Mechanicsburg PA and have been on Alli for a week and lost 4 pounds. I hope this is the time it works for me!

Shel I have also noticed a decrease in my appetite... maybe because our stomachs are 'adjusting' to the new diet? Either way I will take it!

    Good luck all!

    Re: Pennsylvania Alli's

    Hello Cookiebaker,

I am also from Southwestern PA.  I just started taking alli on Saturday, 08/11/07, therefore, I don't know if its working.  I am pretty confident that I will see a loss at my first weigh in ( oh, how I hope), because I lost 5 lbs. last week by just changing my diet.  I, too, am unable to eat 1800 calories a day, but am keeping my fat grams low (sometimes, too low).

I am having the most trouble with motivating myself to exercise.  I want to start walking in the evenings, but can't seem to get moving....

Anyway, I am glad to see that there is someone here from my neck of the woods.  Good luck to you, and I will keep up with your progress.

    Re: Pennsylvania Alli's

I'm trying to change the no loss from saturday's weigh in to a loss for this saturday's weigh in.  I stayed in my calorie range and fat gram range.  I rode the bike for 15 minutes, took an hour long water aerobics class, then jumped on the elliptical for 30mins.  Started the day with an egg beater wrap and some chocolate milk.  Keeping my fingers crossed that I can stay strong all week!

    Good luck to all

    Re: Pennsylvania Alli's

Hi Falha-one!  Sorry I've been MIA for a while. I've been lurking on the boards a little but also just busy at work and home.  I'm still having issues with too many carbs.  I know they are bad for me and yet, that's what I love.  At least I have definitely limited them.  I made turkey bar b que last night for supper and ate mine without a bun which was huge for me.  I have some great low fat crackers and can actually eat 17 of them for 3.5 grams of fat.  I usually have those and a piece of string cheese for lunch.  If I pair it with some fruit that's plenty for me.  I know the first week I cut back too much so now I'm trying to get in more calories and fat.  One good thing is that I'm exercising at least a little every day.  I have three small kids so it can be tough to work it in.  Yesterday I ran in place in our swimming pool and counted 1000 steps while the kids played.  We've also been taking walks every night with the dog which has been great for all of us.  The other thing I've been doing is a "Walk off the Pounds" tape that I have at home which is pretty good.  I had a 6 pound weight loss my first week - I only hope I can keep it up.  Please keep in touch!

    Re: Pennsylvania Alli's

    hey boweenagirl,

There are 2 threads regarding Pennsylvanians.  Wouldn't it be great if we could get all of these people together? The other thread is "alli in PA".  Any suggestions?

Does anyone respond to posts on these threads, or are the posts just one time shout outs?

    Just curious..
