Kirsten, I listed all of my treatment effects and they approved the post.  I see many others listing theirs too.  You should look at the threads.

That is so true!!! Very fishyyy!!! They just post the ones that they think should be posted, not fair at all! Yes they are some kind of negative post but not really like strong ones. People should be able to post their opinions right away. Maybe is because some people use offensive, filthy language that they are doing this.

Re: For someone from Alli - please respond!

I think about all the fat and calories in the food I am about to eat and I ask myself - Is it really worth it after all the hard work it took me to lose weight? I usually run away from my refrigerator!

Please let me know if I can be of further help.

    Cheers!

It is not fair that a moderator has to approve you posting!!  I guess they don't want you to tell the truth!  Notice there is only positive postings. There is not postings about the terrible side effects!

I have two comments for your Kristen.

    1) The fact that your comment was posted shows that Alli is not approving only positive comments to the message board.

    2) The most popular thread right now is one specifically about the side effects that user have had. http://community.myalli.com/forums/p/319/1188.aspx#1188

Take a look at this thread and read through it for info on possible causes and solutions to side effects people have experienced. It really helped me to understand them and to make the decision to purchase the Alli product.

I hope that you are sucessful in your weight loss. Good luck with the Alli or any other program that you use. The goal is that we all find the help that we need to get and stay healthy.

    Wishing you the best,

    Margarett

Re: For someone from Alli - please respond!

I just wanted to say how helpfull this posting has been. I purchased Alli yesterday so I have not taken the pills yet. Doing reading first.

I might add that I think I understand the importance of the fat. For example: If I eat 1/2 cup oatmeal with skim milk and a 0 fat yogurt for breakfast I need a snack before lunch but if I exchange the FF yogurt for some with fat I don't need the snack. Same for lunch. If I eat too low of fat, I want to snack all afternoon. But add some fat and I am satisfied longer even though my calorie intake is not much different.

Keep in mind that this excellent website is being sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, a pharma company.  As such, I'm sure they are legally and ethically bound to check the posts before they go on the web.  Pharma is an easy target and I see it as a way that they protect themselves.

The package they put together to support us in meeting our weight loss goals is amazing.  While to some degree they may have been mandated to do it, that doesnt mean they had to do it as well as they have.

I love having the ability to chat with all of you and track progress.  I cant wait until my Weight Watchers weigh in on Saturday to see how a week of Alli has impacted my weight.

    Good luck to everyone!  Woo-hoo!

Re: For someone from Alli - please respond!

I having been following a low fat diet since March (24 to 35 grams per day) and using alli since 6/15.  On the meals that are 5 grams or under I don't take a pill.  When the grams are between 7 and 15 (usually dinner) I take an alli.  I figured I would see how it went and if I wasn't losing more with alli then without  I'd stop taking it.  Unfortunately I ordered a starter pack thru Drugstore.com and it said backordered so I bought one at Wal-Mart (couldn't wait to try it) then tried to cancel the order which had already shipped by that time.  I figure I'll sell it to a relative or friend for $30.00 if I decide its not really helping me.

I think that you all really need to think about why you are taking Alli.  It's not Phen Phen, it's not gastric bypass.  You have to make up your mind that YOU are going to eat right and exercise.  You have to change YOUR way of living.  If you are having terrible side effects....what the heck are you eating?  Are you looking at the labels for amount of fat you are consuming?  Come on!  Get with the program.  Stop being negative.  That's what got US in this position.  I'm thinking positive, why don't you join me?  Forget the numbers, focus on you!

Very well said!!!   I feel there are some that may think that Alli is going to take off the unwanted pounds they had prior to starting Alli.  That is not what Alli does, it helps eliminate the fat you are consuming with each meal you eat.  You are absolutely right "You have to change YOUR way of living."  It is up to you to get off those unwanted pounds by diet and EXERCISE....Alli is really helping you not to gain any extra weight.  The diet plan provided is an extra benefit IMO, as to how to eat better and incentive to start really taking care of myself.   Thank you Alli

Re: For someone from Alli - please respond!

Wow, I read through these posts and many are so helpful and I am very grateful for them.  But I don't have a lot of free time and would rather take this extra time to go on a walk or something.  But it takes so long to sort through all the "complaining" ones.  Some of the posts sound like junior high girls.  Advice to you young girls, be POSITIVE!  Read The Secret!  If you focus of fear and negativity it will stay with you.  Believe in yourself and the power you have inside to do this program right and stop the complaining so some of us can read the posts quickly and get our answers.  Thank you.

Re: For someone from Alli - please respond!

really nice to see positive mindset.  I'm one of those who just can't stay on a diet that has extremely low fat.  My personal opinion is that if you already have an extremely low fat diet - then stay on it and don't take alli.  I for one cannot stay on a diet that limits fat intake to 5-6 grams per meal - I end up on a binge because I feel deprived.

This is working for me.  I don't 'add' fat just to get to the 15-19 per meal, but I watch very carefully that I don't go over.  I've lost 3lbs since the 1st day of taking alli.  I've lost 5 lbs so far by following the recommended diet since I started alli after doing 4 days of low fat.  I'm 57, and am 5'9 and pretty active.  I love seeing the positive about alli, and tips from others having positive results.

    Good luck to you.

    Peggy
