    this is temporary solution..alli pills

So far I could do this diet on my own. Afterall one dietition says to skip it breakfast if not enough fat. And the menus in Companion guide aren't accurate in showing all fat and calories for each meal each day as it says in the opening part of the section. After the days registered. are gone ..I'm gone. I will have more pills left. i beleive this program is to simply to show you the way to eat healthy and live healthy life...you don't need the pills after that.

i think thats the point. the pills help you not absorb the fat, so you can more easily reach the goal you are after, and then the program shows you how to eat healthy, and also provide some negative reinforcement (the TE's) so once you do reach your goals, you can stop taking the pills, and stay a healthy weight for life.

personally, i think thats the perfect diet program. something to help you along the way, and teach you how to keep it up on your own after that. i dont think any diet pills are intended to be used for the rest of your life, and if they are, those would be the ones i would stay away from.

your post sounds like you are disappointed in the pills for not being something that you are supposed to take forever, is that accurate?

    Vallori,

You are right about how this works. I also, told myself that this is something I could do without the pills. But who am I fooling, I obviously can't do it on my on or I would have already done it. The ALLI pills hold me accountable and I thank God for that. This is a tool to teach you new habits and a healthier way of life. I for one need the help. Once I reach my goal, I will still use ALLI in my weak moments. I pray that I am totally reformed by that time, but it is a comfort to know that ALLI is there if I need it.

I agree with vallori 100%.  The pills helps us along to our goal; the program works on teaching us healthy eating for life. The pills work as a deterrant to keep us away from the bad stuff and give our weight loss a little kick start with each meal.

I've tried about every "diet" and fad in the world to get into a healthy eating habit. I'm done with diets...they simply don't work. This is teaching me healthy eating and getting me in the "habit" and that's what I need. So far, it's the only thing that's worked for me and as long as it keeps working and helps me reach my personal goals, I'll keep using it.

Give it a chance if you are using Alli. And think of it as a support to getting you to your goals, not as a "temporary solution".

    Good luck to you!

No I am not upset that I wont be taking it for the rest of my life at all.. It seems that the diet plane they have laid out tell you to take a pill...but yet a moderator says on a 1600 diet that if you dont get your 9g in then dont take the pill...well I am following the plan but days that I don't or many people are not getting their fat grams..I wonder what's all the info for if you really can't apply it. The only two meals I have followed is the shrimp lime salad which is great.. and the fruit, shredded wheat, yogurt. Oh, and the wraps, but usually I dont get my fat g..if I dont add something.

I do like the daily logs...I will be out of days before pills and thats what I am bummed about...I am very detail-oriented and like keeping track, and inputting the stuff.
