I was just told by an RN that it could work well.  He told me peristalsis only works one way, so even if it gets lost, you will lose it on your next BM.

I had the same problem and I've helped it out a lot by cutting out the fried food and eating yogurt 2-3 times a week.

But if you like the tampon thing.... well to each his or her own I reckon.

I understand why this idea would occur to you, I don't think its a joke.

 Be careful because there are many potential problems. 

You could tear the sensitive skin, not dangerous unless an infection occurs.

You should never leave a tampon in for more than 6-8 hours or it becomes a really good place for bacteria to grow.

Although its probably not too dangerous, it might be easier to just wear a pad.
