Hello from not-so-sunny Florida.  Yes, we are getting some effects from Gustav, 25-35 mph winds and lots of rain.  I can't believe he is heading for Louisiana.  I really feel bad for them.  Next week when Gustav is out of our area, we will begin feeling the effects of Hanna. 

Congrats on walking 10 miles for your training, you are almost there!!  After you make your move, will you be able to keep up with the training?  You are doing so well, you probably won't need much more to get ready.  Is John ready for the next phase?  That's great about his twin sisters being able to donate.  I will definately keep everyone in my prayers.

Since it is raning and windy, I plan on having a quiet day at home, doing not much of anything.  Maybe read my book.

 Hi Carol, I hope you enjoyed your quiet day at home.  I had a similar day.  I'm reading Water for Elephants which I am enjoying.  John is off in Yellowstone and I am back to school tomorrow for what promises to be a busy week.  I haven't started packing yet but am thinking about it.  I am hoping to hook up with a Team in Training group up there, but you're right,  I think I could do the race tomorrow if I needed to. 

Carol Joy, we continue to worry about you.  If you are going through a tough time, this is a good place to vent.  Sending positive energy your way.

Hi girls!!  Hope everyone is OK.  Yesterday was quiet for us, I used the day to straighten up so my cleaning lady can come in today.  She has been on vacation and my house is in dire need of dusting/cleaning.  Since we were away, I really didn't notice, too much.  LOL

Today, I am starting my "Firm" DVD again.  I am so disappointed in myself, my eating habits, lack of exercise, I have to do something before I gain it all back again!!  We are going on a short cruise in a couple of weeks, and I really want to lose some of this bloat I've put on over the last month. 

Dana, with all that walking, you must be doing well with exerecising.  I guess this is your last week of teaching for a while.  I'm assuming your condo you are renting is furnished so you don't have to take much with you.   I'm sure it still is hard to pack up and move for a while.  I guess your sons are taken care of for a while.  How long will you be there?  I know you said you were planning on being back by Christmas. 

Carol Joy, I hope you are OK.  And your family.  Please let us know what is happening in your life.  We miss you!!!

Carol, I sent you an email but am not sure you got it.  We are moving on Sunday and I think I'm going to have to take a break from AAA.  It looks like it might be a tough time for all of us right now to try to keep it going, so maybe it's for the best.  If you hear from CJ, please let me know though so I can quit worrying about her.  I don't need more worries right now!  Thanks for all your support through the ups and downs of this last year.  I hope our lives calm down and we can return to regular support soon.

Good morning AAA's!  Carol Joy, I am getting a bit worried about you.  You haven't posted here since 8/11, unless the posts have disappeared.  I also called you and left you a message a couple of days ago.  I am hoping you are out traveling and having a great time, where ever you are.   I know you mentioned that you were relocating your MIL, so maybe that is what you are up to.  Can't wait until you get back.

Dana, I guess this is your last day of teaching before your leave and your move up to Stanford.  I hope you will be able to post here occasionally and let us know what is happening. 

I really miss both of you girls, it has been quite lonely without you.  

Our weather here has been a bit nerve-racking, last week worrying about Gustav (lots of rain & wind), today we have winds from Hanna (no rain) and then Ike is coming directly at us for next week.  I just saw the weather update and I really don't like what I see.  It looks like we need to pray for south Florida, so another Andrew doesn't come through.

Jon is off today and he made me breakfast, not exactly Alli friendly, but it was delicious.  It was a type of fritatta that he used to have when he lived in Spain at a young man. 

Well, I'm off to get some things done, I'll check back later to see if anyone has checked in.

 Hi Carol,

Looks like we were both posting at the same time yesterday.  I just got back from my Team in Training walk/run.  Ten miles today!   They also had a bone marrow registry drive and signed up 66 people, including me!  It was a good morning.  I feel good.  John is coming home tonight and we leave around noon tomorrow.  I just wanted to pop in to say goodbye.  I will check back when we get settled in but it looks like this may be the end of AAA for a while unless you like talking to yourself.  Were you able to get ahold of CJ? Wishing you strength and success getting back on track.  I know you can do it.  I saw that there were some new challenge groups starting up.  Maybe that would help with the support piece.  I feel like I am abandoning you but I know you understand.

I'm going to miss you.  Please come by and say hi occasionally.  I'll try to update you on Carol Joy, as soon as I find somehthing out.  I miss you both.

Thanks for the well wishes on getting back on track, I really need that!!  I'm not doing very good with eating or exercising, hopefully I'll improve soon.

 Hi Carol, John's sister arrived yesterday, so here we go, ready or not.  I am feeling a fair amount of anxiety and have been eating junk and eating out a lot too.  Thank goodness for the walking or I would be a balloon.  Hope you're doing well and are getting back on track.  I, too, miss our daily contact.

Tampabayb.... thanks for stopping by.  I, too, have lived in Florida for a long time.  I'm assuming you must live in the Tampa Bay area, I am in St. Pete.   Hurricanes are no fun, I totally agree!!
