    Re: Can't exercise!!!

    Hi G,

I am a Healthcare Prof/Army Soldier with a debilitating spinal disorder, however, I am able to exercise. I have had two surgeries so far to rebuild my lower spine which was basically bulging, deteriorated and with degenerative disc disease. I am a lil over 40 years of age and fully disabled. I exercise in bed, while sitting in up in a chair, in the bath tub and even while in the kitchen preparing a meal. I use my office chair to exercise in also. No, it's not a gym like work out, but any and every movement you can muster helps. I have never had any issues with my weight until I came down with these painful disorders. I began exercising my arms with a 3/5 lb weight balls or small barbells. I began doing leg lifts (or knees) as I lay in bed. Do what you are comfortable with that cause the least amount of pain. Same as in the bath tub. There are also passive exercise equipment that can do the work for you although I have no personal experience with any. I have successfully dropped 5 pants/dress sizes. I feel alot lighter and better. I will use Alli to assist me in dropping the last bit of weight I had gained from being inactive/in pain. I hope this helps.
