Anywhere between one hour before, during, and one hour after a meal.

I wonder what the optimal time is? I read the effects can last for hours, but with diminishing returns.

Mod's does this forum have the ability to create "sticky's"...I see this question come up a lot.

Re: When is it to early or to late to take alli

    Hi PhxGuy520,

The optimal time to take alli is the one that will be easiest for you to remember. Most people find it easiest to take it right before or with their first bite of food. You could end up taking it too early if you take it before your meal or forget to take it if you wait until afterwards. The other benefit to taking it with your first bite is that it can help you to stick with your fat grams in that meal once you have alli in your system.

The board does not have the "sticky's" ability. There is a list of frequently asked questions on the front page of the message boards and also a search command on the upper right corner of this page to find posts by subject.

    Good luck,

    Betty Kovacs, MS, RD
