    tea

I read a previous post where Betty recomended that we avoid tea.  I don't really like the taste of coffee and have always heard that tea was very healthy.  How does tea iterfear with this product?

    Re: tea

; I would like to know that also. But If I remember right I think she did say well could drink  tea.

I really dont see why not as long as you drink plain .It has to be better then pop or even those things you add to water.

    Re: tea

I don't know about that post, but the problem with tea is that it has lots of caffeine.  Caffeine works as a diuretic.  So, if you drink tea, just don't count it as water that you are drinking.  Be sure to still get plenty of water.  Another option would be to consider decaffeinated tea or herbal tea, as most herbal teas do not contain caffeine.

    Re: tea

a great way to take away a lot of caffeine is with this trick:

put a teabag in hot water for about thirty secs like ur were makin a regular cup swish it about and wut not. then pour it out and put more water and leave the bag in until the tea has reached the strength u want it at. most of the caffeine is in the outer parts of tea leaves so by pouring out the first cup u do away with a lot of the caffeine. doing this also warms the tea cup which helps keep ur next cup of tea warmer longer.

    Re: tea

    Hi Jersybeene,

This is the second post from you about this. I had responded to the other one so I want be sure that everyone sees the response. Here it is:

I never recommended that you don't drink tea. I gave advice to someone who was having a problem with constipation. This person drank a lot of tea and wanted to know if that could impact their constipation. The advice was to cut back and see if that helped, but was never to not drink tea. Let me be clear to everyone, tea is a good thing to drink and you do NOT need to cut it out of your plan. Be sure to count any calories from things that you add to your tea in your plan.

I hope that everyone is clear on this now,

    Re: tea

Whew! That's a relieeif. I'm a die hard teas drinker, both hot and iced but I take it black, no milk, sugar or lemon.  Tea is is much lower in caffiene than coffee although green tea has more than black or pekoe.
