I don't know that I ever really thought about this seriously.
I guess my real wake up call was earlier this year when I ordered new
work shirts and found that XL was too tight. I had to go up to 2xl and
stop tucking my shirts in.
My suits (all 44R) were getting too small, so I bought a 46R suit.
I started working out in May, and lost some serious inches around the waist. I started Alli on 29 June.
With the progress I have already made, I can again wear my 44R
suits, with room to spare. I now feel like I am swimming in my 2XL
shirts I bought at the beginning of the year.
I got to the point that when I bent over to tie my shoes I was getting short of breath because of my belly being in the way.
Not any more.
My wife told me this weekend she can actually touch her hands together when she reaches around me to hug me.
I guess I am hoping to get to the point where XL is too big and I can
wear regular "large" clothing (hey, I'm not gonna go crazy with my
goals).
I am hoping the next work pants I buy are 38's ... or maybe even 36s ... but that's been a long time ago.
Most of all, I hope to get my waist to hip ratio down so that I am not at an elevated risk for heart disease.
And I hope not to get "winded" or indigestion when my wife and I are having fun ... because of my belly.
I hope this is not too much to ask.
