    Re: Any runners out there??

    Hi Carol,

Please don't let pictures get you down.  Reading your post was very inspiring.  You have lost nearly 20 pounds, have run a leg of a marathon and did it without problems!

A 5K is an excellent idea, and will give you motivation to continue running and a goal to achieve.  I hope your training is successful and let me know if you have any questions.

    Congratulations again.

    Good Luck,

    Paul

    Re: Any runners out there??

Well i finished the 13K at DIsney.....didnt start till 10pm last night and that was sorta cool in the dark.  Of course Disney being top knotch, they had cast members all along the way to cheer us on....some quite funny since it was tower of terror run, they tried to be scary/wierd...totally funny.   I was happy with my time since i most speed walked.  I admit i was sore towards the end,  8 miles is a lot for me!!!  I felt very proud i did it, and was only like 14 minutes behind the 30 yr olds i started out with.   And the bling is fantastic!!!!!  I live for Bling!!!! LOL   And now, I will sleep for 4 days thank you!!!!   And one day, I will walk again......lol

I think I'll stick to 6.5k and under!!!  I am an old fart you know.

    terry

btw, i'm going to NM the 15th, i see they have a 6k out there that weekend!!!!

    Hi Terry,

Congratulations! You should feel really proud! You set a goal for yourself and you accomplished it. Great! It sounds like Disney did a nice job of trying to motivate people and make it fun.

Yes, you will walk again. I’m sure that you will sleep good for a couple of days. It’s great that you’re already targeting another outing (the 6K).

Keep up the good work and get some rest.

    Good Luck,

    Paul
