Count me in, but I am the senior member at age 58. Plus I have the most to lose, 157 lbs. So, I will be here for a long time.

Linda from Ga, but hey I did live in Ohio as child and have relatives still there, does that count.

    Re: B.B.W. CLub

LOL! I only have a goal of 27 right now, but I know exactly what you are talking about! I am so out of shape, and I know having four babies doesn't help, but just today, I got a "You're looking great! Oh no, you just had a baby, so you really look good!" I'm like "Yeah thanks... whatever". I'd like to look good... Not "Good-for-just-having-a-baby". I just barely got into 14's for heavan's sake! And it came from a 40 year old who wears size 4... ***rollin my eyes***

Wait... I keep reading that - I have a goal of 27... can that really be right?

162.... goal 135 -- wow, that makes me feel like a whiner!!! What the heck am I worried about?

Anyway - I'll probably still be coming to the site even at goal weight... maybe I'll inquire about a moderator job :) At least I could be getting paid for sitting at the computer all day lol

LOL I'm still working on NOT coming here, so have a good night ladies! (ya'll know that won't work)

You YOUNG THINGS just CRACK ME UP!!! I have kids almost as old as you are! (snicker)

My youngest is definitely fighting her middle age spread these days ... OR so she thinks and lamenting the fact that she might be a grandma sooner than she would like to think and doesn't understand why she is suddenly hot and then suddenly cold!  HoooOOT!!

I did manage to squish off ONE more pound this week. See my stats below. I still have a BOATLOAD of Fluffininity to lose before I qualify as B.B.W. (Geesch! Do I dare to think back that many DECADES?)Have a great week!TaylorWeek 8 now complete:

I'd like to join too but I'm not a night owl- how many people do you know who are reading baords at 4:30 Am on a Sunday morning LOL?  Just call me Nan- I will be 60 in November so am probably one of the oldest here.  I have 2 grown children and a 20 year old I had when I was 39.  I'd like to lose a lot more weight; so far I've lost 15 on Alli since June 21st but it is slowing down now (a pound a week if I'm lucky).  I never had a weight problem until my mid 40s and then every year, it seemed I gained 5 pounds even though I was always on a diet!!!!  My mother was obese and died at 74 five years ago and that still didn't  motivate me to really lose some needed weight drat it!  I need all the motivation I can get and ironically, I have been walking 5-6 mornings a week for 45 minutes to an hour and still lose so slowly and of course, yoyo.  Let's all really support one another and post at least once everyday.

So far, just you and me, Nan! I’m not able to get on during the week much because I still hold down a more than full-time job. I just get too plain bored to quit working and retire. I tried that once, and found out that retirement was just too tiring for me.

Been there, done that too! J  Isn’t it just awful? We do so well (relatively speaking) and then hit 40. Suddenly our thermostats start breaking down every five minutes, our butts hit the ground, and gravity keeps draggin’ us down! (snicker)

I have been walking 5-6 mornings a week for 45 minutes to an hour and still lose so slowly and of course, yoyo.  Let's all really support one another and post at least once everyday.

Ooooooo I envy you!!!  I wish I was able to walk like that, but then most days I wish I could just walk from the bedroom to the kitchen without having to use my chair to get around. Don't get me wrong, I love having my chair, it definitely gives me mobility back, but it certainly does not help out with the fight against the BOATLOADs of Fluffininity I am battling. I have to be really creative when it comes to getting exercise. So before I go to sleep and when I first wake up, I start up my Tony Little “abs” tape and do the best I can to do the exercises he is demonstrating, while lying right there in bed. I know it isn’t the “proper” way to exercise. (Supposed to be down on that gym mat thingie on the floor, but once I get there I need a crane service to get back up!) However, some sort of exercise is better than NO exercise any day of the week. I’ve also started doing some exercises for my “batwings” they seem to be flappin’ a wee might tad bit more freely than they did back in June! My sister and I were talking the other day and we both figured out what all that fat was good for! Holding out the wrinkles!!! JYou just keep on coming back, MrsBuckeye will keep company with you and a lot of other fine folks too! Welcome to our world!Taylor

    Name / Age

OK .. to make this place successful we need to know your "real" name and age - that gives us a closer bond/friendship if we can reply back to an actual name.  And ya know what - we're not getting older - we're getting BETTER !!!

Annalisa .. you're always welcome here .... you didn't realize by now thaty you've become my "sudo" daughter (what the heck does sudo mean anyway ? lol)

7:09am/Ohio - I've already unloaded the dishwasher ... put wash in the dryer, put the dogs cat hair covered bed in the dryer to hopefully de-hair it ? (lol) ... made a pot of coffee for whenever hubby wakes up and considering washing the bathroom floor (but that would mean I'd have to get down on my knees .. THEN how could I get back up ???!!)

So - has anyone tried this powdered drink called "SPARK" ?  I purchased a box of cranberry and a box of pink grapefruit a while back when my daughter & I were at WallyWorld.  I feel it's way to strong to use in a regular bottle of water - so I have a huge glass of ice water and I put a package of the cranberry spark in it - it's quite tasty.  It's a sugar free caffenated drink - 5 calories and total fat 0.  Just enough caffeine to get going in the morning !

    Sher (I'm 54, 271 lbs)
Sounds like an AA meeting ??

About that “Spark” stuff. Does it have anything like aspartame or Splenda in it? If so I can’t have it. L Massive, MASSIVE migraine headaches. I’m finally just about to where I can stand to drink “plain” ice water. I’ve been using “coffee syrups” in my water. Just enough to say it isn’t plain, but really need to wean my way off of them, and lemon is just too stinkin’ tart. If there isn’t any “fake sugar” in it, I’ll have the other half do a “Wally World” run for me today! Take a look for me, will ya, Sher?  Oh! How much caffeine in it? J Many thanks!

    Re: Name / Age

Good morning all, back on the message boards and see lots of new emails to read. Went on to bed last night since the other Linda told me too, Just kidding, I knew you meant  Sher.Yes, I am addicted to the board. Gives me hope to see how everyone else is doing and what they are eating.  Stats, I am 58 yrs old, 5' 4" and weight 286.2 as of this morning, and live in GA.. Started at 297, that is a lot of weight on my poor body. All my children are grown, married and out of the house. So , I don't have to cook but just for two. He wants all the fried , sweet things he can handle. Course he doesn't need to lose weight either.

I have tried the Spark, like the orange best. It does have caffeine and aspartame in it though so not for you Taylor. I can't go full pack on the cranberry though, too strong. My first weigh in is tomorrow. I have to get on the scale every morning though. I can't pass by it and not step on it. It calls to me. I am not big on exercise, never have been , that is why I am in this trouble now. I am starting to add a little as I go along.

It is so hot down here , we could stand outside and melt off a few pounds. Over 100 for the last few days. Even my poor dogs don't want to go out for any length of time.

    Re: Name / Age

Linda/GA ... I haven't tried the Orange spark yet - I'm not that keen on orange flavored drinks, does it remind you of a strong Tang ?? lol

Like I said - I don't pour the stuff in a bottle of water, I use a LARGE plastic cup and stir in it, that's the only way I can tolerate it, as it's very strong tasting to me.

The humidity is finally down here in Ohio - one can breath not only in a non air conditioned house but you can also tolerate to go outside !

My breakfast this morning consisted of one container of Kroger's brand of scramblers, a full green pepper and a huge tomato - all cooked up in a skillet then topped with 1 piece of 2% american cheese (so I could at least get some fat grams) and then 2 honey wheat english muffins.  I got through about 1/4 of my homemade mixture and 1/2 of a muffin and I was full.  Shadow (my 2 yr old lab/show) enjoyed her breakfast hahaha
