    I started Alli on Monday and I have had none of the scary effects.  I have been a pretty gassy, but nothing else.  As of Wednesday morning, I had lost 3 pounds.  Today I am not showing any weight loss at all.  (My mother says I need to stop weighing more than weekly.)  I am constipated, so that would explain it a little, I guess.  I am just afraid I am the one person that this stuff doesn't work on, you know?  I certainly don't want to waste my money.  It has helped me stick to my diet, though.  I never thought I would be jealous of people with greasy poo!

    I have not noticed any treatment effects either.  However, I do notice that my p--- floats instead of sinking, which I believe is because of the fat absorbed.  One day I ate a little more fat than the other days and I did notice stomach cramps and loser stools.

    I experimented by eating some cheese and crackers...I had a VERY oily BM! So I can honestly say that the treatment effects are real. But I find it good to know because it will help me to NOT eat bad again!

    What I don't understand is......if you are on a low fat diet and take alli, it gives no treatment effects.  So...........why take it.  If you are already doing low fat, low cal, and exercise....what's the point?

    Am I one of the only one having problems.  Okay I did have pork chops for dinner last night.  I have had to run to the bathroom three times already today.  I learned my lesson.  This is my forth day on Alli and this is my first problem.  I hope it is also my last.  Back to the veggies for me. LOL

     For me, it forces me to think about what I am eating and gives me a reason to stick to it!

    I too have problems with constipation.  I've been to many doctors and they've tried numerous things.  I've been on Alli since 06/15.  After about 4 full days of use, I started feeling the effects.  I am now "regular".  I do have the oily discharge in the toilet bowl but I am generating about 3 bowel movements a day.  Before Alli, that was a whole months worth!  I am sticking with Alli even just for this benefit.

    Thanks for asking this question!  I've been having the same thought.  I guess my fear of the "treatment effects" has kept me watching every bite like a hawk.  I've not had any effects other than some bloating and gas.

    Take the pill with your meal, that is what I do.  You can snack, but try to keep it around 100 cals and less than your 15 grams.   I have been on for almost 4 weeks, in the begginning I had gas, but no longer have gas.  Try lowfat or no fat yogurt, they make a boston cream pie yogurt, lemon merange, key lime pie that are very good and taste like dessert.  Also they have reduced fat wheat thins that are very tasty and filling.  Lowfat Vanilla waffers are good as well.  There are so many alternatives you just have to read your labels and be creative so you dont get borred.  Baked Scoops tortilla chips with salsa is a good snack very low fat and low call.  They also make a fat free sugar free ice cream (you can have 1/2 cup 90 calories) I spread it on a Quaker Carmel corn rice cake 100 cal. it is very good and filling and satisfies your sweet cravings.  I know rice cakes, the actually taste good, I couldn't believe it myself.  If you like cheese there are alot of reduced fat cheeses out there that are very good (Cabots brand is one) I use the pepperjack to spice up my egg beaters omlet.  My goal every week is to cook a new low fat meal and find a new low fat snack so I don't get tired of eating the same thing.  Good Luck.
