Welcome to wendinnc, judykaye, and murph108!! We're glad you are joining us!!
You guys seem nervous, so here is my 2 cents (worth about that anyway). I have found that when I stick to the 19 grams of fat per meal I have NO TEs. I started on the prescription strength version of Alli about 18 months ago, definitely had some TEs then - but MUCH less since going on Alli - and definitely none when I stick to the fat grams.
I think what we all don't realize is just how bad some of the food is. For example, I "know" McDonald's is bad for me - but I had no idea how bad until I found out that a Big Mac had my ENTIRE day's worth of fat allocation. Just the Big Mac!!
So - I've become much better about really understanding the degree of what is "bad". However, it is REALLY important not to short-change the fat grams. You want the fat, because that is what Alli works on. Too many carbs as part of the 1800 calories and you won't lose.
I was doing really well - but I've fallen off the wagon a bit since having surgery about six weeks ago. Hoping to get back on. I'm getting more consistent again, but it is a little up and down.
Now for Team 40ish - WHERE ARE YOU?? Did you read that I finished the marathon? What - no happy dances for me? Bobbi - how is it going? I need some INSPIRATION!!!
Kathleen, Gail, Marcia - need to hear from you guys!! POST! POST! POST!
Take care, y'all.
Sharona
p.s. Not sharing my check-ins - way too depressing.
