    Re: 15 GRAMS AT BREAKFAST?

You know it does seem like a high amount. When I entered my height and weight on myalli plan it figured my fat grams at 12 for breakfast and I'm on the 1800 calorie plan.  I think 15 grams is meant to be the average per meal. Therefore I'll eat 12 grams at breakfast and 18 at lunch and dinner.

I could be wrong but I think it's about making sure that we get enough fat in our diet. When we diet there is a tendency to cut back too far on fat and that's not good either. Of course that said, I've also read that if you eat under 5 grams of fat (as many of us do for breakfast) you shouldn't take a pill.

I also think that it's interesting that I've read many messages on this site where people say they aren't used to eating so much fat. I've said the same thing myself but I'm overweight. I figure that maybe we're in denial about the amount of fat we eat or that maybe we aren't getting enough. I really don't know. If you figure it out let me know.

You're lucky, I have to worry about 19.  I am going to try their meal plan for a little while, just to see how this plays out.

     Good luck

When you log your height & weight the site gives you a breakdown; for example mine is 1600 calories ... 300/9 breakfast, 500/16 lunch, 600/19 dinner and (2) 100/3 snacks.

If you really needed 15 grams of fat at breakfast an omelette with 2 whole eggs & 2 whites, reduced fat cheese and a slice of light toast with low fat butter spread will do it at just over 300 calories.
