    Only One Snack?

I am concerned that on thei alli plan you get only one snack? I usually like to have small snacks durning the day to keep from getting starved - because I know if I let myself get staved I will be setting myself up for a feeding frenze. Anyone have any suggestions?

I like to snack too and I am including a low fat midmorning and midafternoon snack with my plan. I have kept under my calorie and fat allotment so I hope it is ok.

    Hi,

Somewhere I took a survey of food preferences, and it asked if I like to snack...  I answered yes, and the meal planner now provides for two snacks per day...

Nancy if you enter your height and weight on the myalli plan you should receive a plan that shows breakfast, lunch, dinner and 2 snacks. I'm on the 1800 calorie plan and my snacks can be 100 calories and 3 grams of fat.  I think you need to trust your instinct on this one. I get a little jittery in the afternoon sometimes and a snack takes care of that. Just keep it low calories and fat. An apple and a tablespoon of low-fat peanut butter might hold you over.

    Re: Only One Snack?

What about trying an old weight watcher's trick?  If you need to snack more than 2x a day, try leaving off the "dessert" from your meals.. usually a peice of fruit or whatever, then eat it later as a snack.  Of course, whatever you save for later will have to be less than the 3 grams of fat allotted for snacks so it doesnt sabotage your alli's effectiveness.

    Just a thought ;)
