Re: Anyone in Germany?? (Army wives??)

    Hi Kirsten

My name is Debbie. I am planning my 9th trip to Europe. I will be in Germany in October....from the 17th through the 24th. My whole trip is from October 15th until November 13th.

I probably won't take too many Alli pills while there. If I were in one place the entire time, I would consider it. The TEs ya know....

I love Germany. At the moment I am trying to hook up with people through a Couchsurfing organization. Yes, I stay with perfect strangers...LOL

    I travel solo...I am a 55 year old Grandma to 7.

Well, anyway...how are you doing on Alli? Are you on a base there? I will (maybe ) fly into a small airport near Baden-Baden. If they allowed us to give info to each other, I would suggest trying to meet up. I also will be flying from Frankfurt-Hahn to Bari italy on the 24th of October.

I started at 317 early this year. Dropped some pounds, then on June 15th I started ALLI. I weighed 309.

I am down to about 288 now. I feel good most days, but have had TE's now and then. Clothes are much looser.

Tell me more about you, Your ALLI situation etc.

    Debbie

    Hi Kirsten,

I'm not in Germany either, but I lived in Nurnberg in the 80's.  I miss the food sooooo much.  I love their chocolate.  Bratwursts just aren't the same here.  I wish I could go to a real Oktoberfest.  Not these teeny ones here.  I hope you are having fun.  I guess it's good I'm not there since I'm dieting now.  Down 16lbs!!!

Re: Anyone in Germany?? (Army wives??)

    Kristen,

Sorry that I am not in Germany anymore.  We just moved back to the States and miss Germany so much.  We lived in Babenhausen and when it closed we move to Hanau and I worked in Darmstadt.  We loved Mannhiem my daughter used to play basketball their.  And the PX was nicer compared to Darmstadt and Hanau.

Oh! just talking about Germany makes me so sad that we had to leave.

Good luck in your weight loss journey,

    Tammy

    Hello Debbie!!

That is awesome you are coming to Germany again!!  I have been to the Frankfurt-Hahn !!  Tiny Airport!!!   LOL

Yeah I am doing good on the Alli.  I have been taking it since Aug 3 and I have only lost about 10-11 lbs, but I have lost 1 inch off my waist, 1/2 inch off thighs, upper arms, and hips!!  My hubby said I am looking slimmer and my clothes feel a "Little" bit looser.. I started at the GYM last night doing cardio 3x's a week and strength training 2 x's a week... I am hoping for some good results soon!!!!

Yeah I am living on-post in Mannheim... My hubby deploys soon, so I am hoping when he comes home..I will look like a whole new person!!!   He is very supportive of me and very proud that I am taking better care of myself and eating healthier!!

Good Luck on the Trip!!   Take Care!!!   ttyl

Re: Anyone in Germany?? (Army wives??)

It is Great over here, but I miss the states!!  LOL   I have been living here for about 2 yrs now and I am ready to go home!!  I miss Washington ( state)

The food is Awesome!!!  I love the Brats ( even though I can't eat them now)  There food isn't that spicy but there are alot of Turkish people over here and they have some pretty spicy food ( curry)

I have seen alot of places and countries since I have been over here so that is the coolest thing about being over here!!  I have been to Luxomburg, Belgium, France (Paris) and Ireland.. Me and some girlfriends of mine flew to Dublin for the day and went and had lunch and did some shopping and sightseeing!!  It was gorgeous there!!!  I am going back soon, but this time I am gonna stay the night.. As long as my hubby will agree to it...LOL   ( He will have to stay home with the kids)

    Take care...  TTYL
