I am down 30 lbs and Alli certainly has helped.  I don't eat much fat, so I haven't had many 'treatment effects' and I am happy with the program except for THE SMELL.  Don't tell me to take chlorophill.  I TAKE CHLOROPHILL.  I eat big salads every day. 

I have been off the pills for a few days now and the smell is gone but I can sure spot someone else in the store who is on the Alli program!  PHEW!

Congratulations on your weight loss -- that's terrific! I'm not sure what you mean by "the smell" so I can't comment on this.  Have you checked the Personal Experiences Message Board to see what the comments are there.

 Yes please explain. I've been on Alli only two and a half week and would really like to know what you mean. I haven't heard of this side effect yet.

  yes.. I agree.. Please explain the smell. I am in a bit of a pickle..

   I recently had minor surgery, where there is drain tubes and stints in my face, (nose and tear duct) and all I can smell is infection from the drain tubes 24/7. Soooo.. needless to say, I can't smell "body odor". I would appreciate to know if I need to be careful of this issue! lol..  I'm brand new to Alli, and boy.. would I give anything for a heads up! how about  a smell meter!

Is it like a sickly sweet smell? Because I think I'm starting to smell it now too.

My suggestion is that you call our product customer service line at 1-800-671-2554 (M-F 9am – 9pm EST).  If you're not talking about your bowel movements, then I'm not familar with any other smell that you might be talking about.
