Yes, you're correct that it actually halts weight loss if calories go to 1,000 or below. My suggestion is you try 1,800 for a week and see how you do. You can drop one or two levels -- but not more than that -- if you truly find it too much.
Unfortunately, you won't be able to change the levels in the system. That's something that we're working on right now.
