    Alli Cooking

I just started Alli, although my husband and I have eaten according to the plan for several weeks. Unlike me, my husband is underweight and I am concerned that the diet change could cause him to loose weight too. He has always been thin (same size and weight since he was a teenager) and is otherwise healthy.

     Please advise.

    Re: Alli Cooking

    kfellabaum,

I am not a registered diatition, but I do know from raising 4 children and a husband (HA,HA!) for 36 years, that A LOWFAT (NOT FAT FREE) DIET WITH LOTS OF FRUITS & VEGETABLES & WHOLE GRAINS IS HEALTHY FOR EVERYONE.. What I try to do for my husband and my children (who are adults now) if they are eating with us, is to fix the same things that I am eating, just allow more in portion size, only for them, not for me.

    Hope this helps,

    Linda

    Re: Alli Cooking

I don't think you have to worry about your husband as he's having very healthy meals.  He can have larger portions than you, and indulge in more fat - and other foods - than you.  He probably makes his own snacks and/or eats outside the home where he can choose whatever he likes.

    Good luck with YOUR program!
