Try looking at the ratio of carbs that you are eating compared to fat.  I know sometimes when my carb ratio is pretty high I don't lose as fast or plateau.  Even healthy carbs such as whole grains can stall a weight loss.  It sounds like you are getting losts of exercise and keeping the fat low.

hi everyone, if your doing intense cardio for 2hrs. your going to long! I'm an exercise instructor(ACE & AEA Certified) try to incorporate several cardio techniques.(Continuous, interval, circuit)

continuouse being working at the same intensity the whole workout

interval: doing 3-5 mins. and moderate level, then 2-3mins at a higher level

circuit ; doing a set of say tricep exercises (12 reps) then a set of biceps(12 reps) then jog or bike for 1 min. then start the next set of triceps & biceps,  etc.

or you can try doing this routine:

for 2-3 weeks do lower intensity for 45-60mins

the next 2-3 weeks higher intensity for 20-30 mins.

    next 2-3weeksmodereate intensity

and do weights 2-3 days a week in additon to this cardio.

By working out with such intensity your actually defeating yourself and breaking down your muscle.

I've been in the same place i have Obessive Compulsive Disorder and was literality making my body store the fat. Never drop your calories under 1200, and with exercise you should be even higher. Also after do weight training have some lean protein to help repair your muscles.

You didn't say how old you were and how many calories your eating either.

. Also the alli blocks 25% of the fat so for ex: if you were eating 16g per meal that's only 4gx9calories per gram=36blocked per meal x 3=108calories a day

it take burning 3500 to lose a lb so divide that by the 108 and we're talking 32days to lose a lb.

make sure your taking off at least one day a week, if you feel that you have to exercise everyday only do a causal walk one of those days.

hope this info. helps you some, just try some of these suggestions and give it a month you should see some changes! keep us posted! Good luck!

Re: I exercise A LOT, eat LOW FAT if any, and nothing will this work?

Hello Flyerone! I have been reading all of the responses to your question. Wow! So many people needing some answers, huh? Thank you for bringing it up and for being so honest! That is key! Firstly, going on the information that you have given, I would like to say a couple of things. Exercising and keeping a food journal are great things and very important tools for achieving long-term weight loss! To address your question on the low fat/ no fat diet, 12-15 grams of fat per meal isn't excessive at all! In fact, your body really does require that you ingest a healthy amount of fat normal, healthy biological functioning. We have been given conflicting information over the years about how much fat should be in our diets. A decade ago, it was NO FAT (remember when the Snack Well products came out?) We ate a ton of sugar, thinking because it wasn't "fat" that we were doing good! Not so! American's became fatter than ever. Then the Adkins.....do I need to go on? It is hard to get a handle on, but it is true, good fats (olive oils, walnuts/seeds, avocados, lean proteins, etc.) actually help you in your attempt to healthfully lose weight. I would recommend that these good fats make up 20-30% (no higher than 30) of your daily caloric intake (no more than 40-60 grams/day). Refer to Alli's dietary specialist for further info on that!! Secondly, I would consider the possibility of you (and I'm being careful here!) over-exercising! Yes, it is possible! Very high intensity, "hard-core" exercise can actually backfire on you if you are not providing your body with adequate carbs, proteins, FATS and adequate recovery time (rest!). An hour to an hour and 1/2 is plenty to achieve 250-500+ caloric deficit per/day, which would mean about a loss of about a pound or so per week. Additionally, I would highly recommend that you add in strength training to your exercise program! It is more important that I can express to you for building muscles, decreasing body fat, and allowing the body to be a more efficient calorie-burning machine, even at rest. It is possible that through your severe weight loss, you have lost lean muscle mass, and although aerobic activity is great, it will not replace those muscles like strength training will. Lastly, I would consider getting a check-up with your Dr. Weight-loss resistance can be as simple as what we previously discussed, or could actually be your body telling you I am way over-stressed, or hormonally imbalanced. A simple saliva test can provide you with information on those things that could actually inhibit you from losing weight no matter how hard you're training, and how great your eating! Those things again could be hormonal imbalance to adrenal fatigue....get it checked out!!! The best of luck to you! I know that you will achieve your goal!!!! Your friend in health! Kelli
