    Re: Please be honest!

Okay! now I have been taking it for a few days, and I have been eating right, but today at work I decided I wanted to eat some corn beef hash. 45 mins later I had to go to the bathroom and I noticed in the toilet their were orange color spots and it looked really greasey. So it does work, I didn't eat much of it but it was enough to go over the fat intake. I think that the more fatty foods you eat the worse it gets, thank heavens mine was minimal.

    Re: Please be honest!

I started Alli on Sunday, June 17th and so far I haven't encountered any treatment effects. What people are failing to do is read in between the lines; it said that you MAY get these symptoms not that they are guaranteed. Some people's bodies are better able to handle certain medications while others are not, it's just up to your body.

Now, I am not willing to test out these treatment effects but my bowel movements have changed but not anything "oily". Remember folks, these are just side effects, not everyone encounter the same side effects due to medications.

    Re: Please be honest!

I have almost always followed a moderately low fat diet so when I got my Alli on Wednesday, June 14th I started right away.  Two days ago I overdid it with low fat potato chips at lunch time.  They are 7grams per oz and I must have had at least 3 oz.  I did not experience any bad effects.  Lucky I guess but I will be more careful in the future.

My sister is so motivated (for the first time in her adult life) and I am happy for her.  She has always eaten high fat but started on Alli four days ago and eats as recommended even writing everything down.  She had not had any problems!!

    Good luck!

    Re: Please be honest!

I have been on it since last Thrusday and I have had no side effect at all. I feel better because I know that I am eating better too. Give it a try but just don't go over the fat grams. I am going to stick with it this time and get healthy. Good luck.

    Re: Please be honest!

I have been using it for 4 days and have had no side effects at all  except a little gas. I don't eat high fat foods though - no meat, nothing fried, no full fat dairy. I think the people who have the problems eat a lot of fat and maybe don't even realize how much!

    Re: Please be honest!

I have been taking alli now for 5 days....i haven't noticed the treatment effects much at all.  But..i don't have a gallbladder and have loose stools because of that anyway.  Since I have had my galalbladder removed I have to get to a toilet alot faster than i use to.  I did have some orange colored oil floating in the toilet one time only.   But...i had no extra gas or anything else.   So far....my fears of talking alli becaue of the treatment effects haven't been necessary.   Now...if I am only losing weight then it will be a wonderful new diet pill!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Re: Please be honest!

I have been on the plan since monday morning  i used to sell pharmaceuticals so i was familiar with the coming out of alli, it is half the dosage of the prescription medication xenical. most people suffered treatment effects from the prescription medication. the alli program has half the potency of the prescription. okay gassy yes but, i have followed the rules low fat  and calorie counting i hope it works.  but, i would not do the plan over concerns for the treatment if your really concerned put yourself in a controlled environment for precaution and you'll see no worry and hopefully results like they say.  good luck , we all need it.

I am also keeping a very detailed WW journal and watching my cholesterol and partially hydrogenated oils, etc.  I am also experiencing treatment effects but nothing embarrassing, just oily bowel movements. I only weigh once a week so tomorrow is the big day. I have been taking alli for a week. My goal is to lose 20 lbs by Labor Day and 10 more by the end of October.

I am having the same thing. I am positive I am not eating 15 gr. fat. I was fine the first 4 days. Day 5 not so good. I really am kinda afraid to eat. Today I only took 1 at dinner. I am glad to see you are like me too. ???? I am wearing a liner though. Maybe it will pass.

    Re: Please be honest!

I want to know what are people here calling treatment effects? To me treatment effects are oily stool, not normal stool. I think everybody here used to poop before taking alli otherwise you are from another planet. I see several people complaining about having bowel movements when they are in a low fat diet., I guess were expecting not to poop at all, which is imposible. I think is good that you are going more often to the bathroom, you are cleansing your body, you are eliminating fat, you're losing weight. So be happy when you poop, not dissapointed. I wish I could poop more.

    Re: Please be honest!

To be honest, if you eat a lot of fat the answer to all your questions are "YES." However, I have been on a low-fat diet for two weeks before I started the alli pill, and I have not experienced anything different except maybe it's a little runnier (and at first I had some gas). But I literally do NOT eat a ton of fat. I am using the 3-Hour Diet, and it is very balanced and low fat.

I have tried EVERYTHING to lose weight, and thus far I am down 9 pounds.

    Re: Please be honest!

I have been taking alli for 1 week so far.  What I have found with taking the pill is that if I truly follow the low fat diet and use the diet plans, I have no problem.  I have had the oily discharge only once when I ate out at a baseball game and did not follow the plan. It caused no major problems.  I had the oil seep out and when I went to the bathroom it really looked like they describe, the oil that forms on the top of a pizza.  When I go out I have been wearing a pad just in case, but really following the low fat diet is the key.  Ensuring that I am upping my exercise and taking a multivitamin has helped with my energy level also.  This is the truth as I have found it.  Good luck.
