    Southern Style Coleslaw & tartar sauce for grilled fish

    use your favorite recipes and use fat free mayo and splenda or:

    2 cups fat free mayo

    1/4 cup splenda

    1/4 cup dijon mustard

    1/4 cup cider vinegar

    1 tea spoon celery seed

    1/2 teaspoon sea salt

    pepper

    2 tlb spoons grated onion

    1 med cabbage shredded, 2 grated carrots, 1 diced green bell pepper,

    Also use Fat Free mayo for Tartar Sauce:

    1 cup fat free mayo

    1 tlb pickle relish, 1 tlb chopped pimiento stuffed olives, 1 tlb capers, 1 tlb shallots, 1 tlb lemon juice and a dash of hot pepper sauce. 

    Serve the cole slaw & tartar sauce with grilled fish for a complete meal.

    mmmmmmmmm,yummy, you are making me want to run and broil some talapia right this instant! (and I am sitting at my desk at work!) ................maybe some sweet potato fries to go with that!

    I'm going to try this it really sounds good!  I also take prepackaged Broccoli Cole Slaw and add Fat Free Thousand Isand Dressing, grated onion and it is really good too.  I'm not a big mayonnaise eater so I tried FF Thousand Is. Dressing and my husband loves it too. Thanks for a new recipe!  Cheryl

    Thanks for all the recipes, Rainbird!! You have taken the fat out of all my comfort foods! Any suggestions on how to take the fat out of fried food? I know, it's better to bake them but sometimes I miss my fried foods. CandaceT

     oh! I think I am definitely going to have to make some coleslaw this weekend. I love coleslaw and it is nice to have a healthy recipe (I never knew how to make it before... ha ha)

     hey guys you can also try shredded cabbage,lowfat mayo,1 tsp of vinager,sweet onion,shredded carrots, use what you will serve for the evening with out waste,and it is very good,a dash of salt to taste
