    Turnip Greens with smoked turkey

    1 cup chopped cooked Lean Smoked turkey ( I know ya all have a smoker )

    One lb trimmed and rinsed turnip greens

    1 tea spoon of splenda sugar subsitute.

    1 tea spoon of hot sauce

    3 cups low sodium low fat vegie broth.

    add all  to dutch oven, bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to low and simmer stirring occasionally cook 25 min.

    that sounds very good. but i do the collard greens with turkey wings,turrkey nicks and i season it with collard green season and accent,complete seasoning. and greenpepper,garlic,crushed red pepper, maggi-bouillon,onion,vinegear,and oliveoil, and low sodium low fat veggie broth or water. from lady phat.

    I cook turnip greens with no meat and they are just as good. I use some garlic cloves, onions, chicken broth and chicken bouilan.  I also use a very small amount of  salt (salt tends to make greens tough), pepper and Tony Catchery seasoning.

    I also have cooked Pinto beans with smoked turkey.  I was pleasantly surprised.  In the pinto beans we put onion and season with salt and black pepper to taste.  I used store bought smoked turkey wings and one wing was more than enough to cook in the beans.  I was amazed how much meat was on one.
