My first 2 posts to your message boards were deleted. Not for profanity or inappropriate content, but for saying it like it is and not sugar-coating the flaws in your software. All the posts I have read on your site have been very positive about the program and website, and I'm not surprised. You must have deleted anything that suggests that your product is less than perfect. I'm sure you'll delete this one too, but at least the omniscient moderator will have to read it first. With other boards I have been on, it doesn't take 24 hours to post a message, and if something is considered "inappropriate" it comes back immediately with the message flagged as to what needs to be changed, so you can change it and re-submit your message. All you are doing by deleting any and all messages that don't hold the same opinion as you, is showing me that I'd rather use a different program, and then just buy the pills. It's not like money is the big issue here.

I am sorry if you feel as if your opinions are not being addressed because they are not the "desired" ones. I assure you, there are plenty of critical posts on the message boards by others. We appreciate this feedback and will use it when discussing future enhancements.

Lastly, there are plenty of benefits of the message boards. For example, they have recently been enhanced to include many new forums that facilitate a more dynamic message board community. We are working to have these messages posted in a more timely fashion for a smoother line of communication between members and moderators.

One day as a member and already an expert on the board....This site is not perfect but they listening and acting on lots of the suggestions that have been made. Choice is a wonderful option though in life and as you stated you do have the option of using another program. Which ever you choose - good luck and hopefully you will find that perfect site you are looking for.

I see you just registered yesterday.  I've been an Alli board member since it came on-line and started the Alli pill on June 23.   Trust me - not ALL posts have been positive - esp. from me.  I've given them my share of grief and probably still will in the future - I shoot from the hip, so to speak.  When we first started up posts were taking sometimes up to 48 hrs to post - nowadays I can see my post within minutes - so the technies are learning their trade (finally).   YEP I feel they should have had some of these bugs worked out before they went live - but they didn't and we've dealt with it. 

So - as far as your statement about all posts you have read have been very positive - you need to go back to the beginning and start reading some more !!!!!!!

 I think it would be great when we ask about moderators it would help to see and learn about them.

Like how did they get to be Alli modertors? Are they using or have used All in pass or now. How they have done and what they have lost.?

Do you have to look at a book or something from Alli company on what to say or not say/??

Is there a site here to ask those Q and others if you can not post for others to read. Why cant we  read others point of view good or bad.

What did you have to do to be a moderator for Alli? Can any one do it?and how?

The moderators are registered dietitians, pharmacists, and physical fitness experts who were hired by GSK to answer questions on the message boards. We are currently discussing some enhancements for the message boards that would distinguish users by their activity on the message boards.

lol activity on the message board ... hmmmm I think I'd get the "big mouth" marquee :)  lol

OK ... so we know who the moderators are (well ... so #3 .. are you a RD, pharmacist or physical fitness expert ?? )    Somehow I need to find an "in" to do contract work .. put in a good word for me !!  (where do i send my resume ? lol)

 I'm  wondering what has happened to the new forums (ie the regional forums and those focused on specific weights) you've mentioned? I posted this am to the midwest forum and to a weight specific forum and now these forums are no longer listed. Is this a temporary glitch? Thanks in advance.

 I have a questions too.. I got an email saying that they deleted one of my posts, and the only reason was 'not in the nature of this site'? And i have no idea why? then it said to edit my message according to the guidelines.. but what does that mean? It was just a short message looking for a buddy? I don't get it.. and what i did wrong? and they didn't even really tell me why? do you know?

Did you include your email address in the post? We are not able to post email addresses on the message boards.

Crap, I just wrote a page long reply and did put my e-mail address in it.  Can I ask you why this will be returned to me?  Is it not my perogative if I want to correspond with people outsite of the Alli program.  I basically was just offering Christian support to those who may get frustrated and wanted someone to lean on in sympathy.  Sometimes you just do not want other people to read your grief. 

Will this be changed in the future?

Deborah - posts with email address or personal websites are not allowed on here.   With luck that may change in the future but I wouldn't count on it anytime soon.  Due to the fact that this is an "FDA" approved drug - big brother wants to have some control :)
