I noticed the stop of oily discharge

I have been taking Alli for a little over a month now and for the past week I have had no discharge in my stools. Is there a reason why it stopped? I noticed that I am losing a lb a week but this week (since I'm bloating) I have gained back two of them. I guess I'm confused at why I stopped seeing the oil stuff and now I feel like it is like every other product I've tried and has stopped working.

ps. my diet or exercise have NOT changed matter of fact I upped myself one more foster kid, so now I have 6 kids and I get PLENTY of exercise haha.

hmm..there's a good possibility you aren't taking in too many grams of fat.  see..you aren't supposed to see an oily discharge and when you do, it means you've gone over your fat gram limit.

    Hi Nicolemillard,

There is no way that alli has stopped working. You are excreting 25% of the fat that you consumed. You do not have to see the fat for it to be there. Your bowel movements change and so will the fat that you excrete. The fat may come out separately or it may be mixed in. Either way, the fat is there. Your bloating would be the reason that you did not lose weight, not alli. You can be retaining water from hormones and/or sodium and you could also be bloated if you are constipated. Your weight can vary up to 7 lbs in one day so this can be the cause of your gain this week. Try to focus on the cause of the bloating and your weight should come back down.

Let me know if you have any other questions,
