    alli and Slimfast

    Hi,

Is there any one here taking Alli along with the Slim fast shakes, mealbars or snacks.

i really love the slim fast products, due to the fact, I do not eat breakfast as much and it difficult for me to sit down at work and eat..........so I just drink or eat a slim fast for breakfast and lunch with a fruit.....is this ok while I am on the Alli program? This is hard for me...but I really want to lose.

THe idea of the Alli program is to meet/get close to your calorie & fat gram - I've had a slim fast or a carnation instant breakfast at times for breakfast, but that's not all I have.

You need to read Betty Kovacs two posts on the first page of this personal experience board regarding getting in your calories and fat grams.

    Re: alli and Slimfast

Hi! I do use slimfast, mainly for breakfast and occasionally for lunch or dinner (if I'm on the go and don't feel like making dinner or am not as hungry).  I do like that slimfast has lots of the nutrients I need- it seems like a lot of the time, if I don't do that or take a vitamin, I'd be missing out on a lot of that.

The optima shakes are great at keeping me from getting hungry, but I wouldn't use them as my sole source of food!  One shake a day, some days maybe two shakes- but be sure to get at least one real meal in there a day.  Just doing slimfast won't teach you to eat right!  It just teaches you to drink from a can!

So far, I've lost 30 pounds- so I'm doing something right!  But I get exercise in there too, am not relying on just my diet (mainly because I love a nice dinner- and even though I eat much less than I used to, I suspect I probly get a few more calories in on the weekends than I want to admit, and I gotta burn 'em off somehow!)

    Good luck!

    Lady Mo,

Yes!  I love Slim Fast!  I'm doing alli, Slim fast and Lean Cuisine at the same time and it's really working well.  I'm too busy to cook.  That's why I'm in this situation and also why other diets have failed me.  They require me to weigh everything out and cook everything from stratch and I can't do that.  I love to cook but I don't have time.  I work 10-12 hour days and go home to another full-time job; my husband!

I have a SF shake and fruit or a SF meal bar and skim milk for breakfast, a Lean Cuisine entree and fruit for lunch and a Lean Cuisine entree, vegetable and fruit for dinner plus SF snacks.  It's awesome!  I can do this even if I wasn't wanting to lose.  It's so easy and I'm losing like crazy.

One problem with me is I can't really exercise yet.  I have Plantar Fasciitis in both feet and walking or standing, even for 5 minutes, is extreemly painful.  My doctor said I have to stay off my feet as much as possible or he'll put me in casts!
