    Crab Casserole

    Ingredients

    1 l b. crab meat 1  can sliced mushrooms
    1  cup chopped celery 1/2  cup chopped onion
    1  small jar pimiento 3/4  cup skim milk
    1/2  tsp. Tabasco 1  tsp. garlic powder
    1/2  tsp. black pepper 1/2  cup bread crumbs
    2  tbs. melted margarine, fat-free 2  tbs. plain Flour
    1/2  stick oleo, fat-free

    Preparation

    Sauté celery & onions.  Make a white sauce of 1/2 stick oleo, 2  tbs. flour & skim milk. Cook over low heat until thickened. Add mushrooms & sautéed onion & celery to sauce.  Stir in crab meat.  Add pimiento, garlic powder, Tabasco, black pepper.  Pour  into casserole dish.  Mix bread crumbs & 2  tbs. melted margarine. Sprinkle on top of all.  Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

     I'll do the usual asking - is there nutritional info for this and how much per serving?

     The person who wrote the initial recipe hasn't posted since December 5 or there abouts so I don't think we'll get this information from her :(

    You can get nutritional info. for any recipe at www.recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp

    They have a recipe calculator and if you enter the ingredients it will get you a ballpark estimate of calories, fat, etc.  Takes a bit of time, but it's worth it!

    Should point out that 957 calories is for the entire recipe! :)

    I should think this recipe would at LEAST serve 4 as a main dish, using 1 lb. of crab meat as it does.  I'd be more likely to use this as a small side dish or appetizer.
