    Re: Harley Update

I wanted to thank EVERYONE for your thoughts and caring my family has gone through.  My angel is now being cared for by my mom, dad and Beth's dad - so he's in good hands :)

Buzz ... once the bank figures out where they placed your letter, you'll be hearing more from me!  (esp a thank you from the kids)

Our (my) lives HAVE to get back on track .. "I" have to get back on track - so folks ... I"M BACKKKKKKKKKKK :)

    Re: Harley Update

Some of my "old cronies" here know what me/myfamily has been going through the last few months.

I woke up at some ungodly house this morning realizing it's been a month today .. no wonder Beth (my daughter-in-law) had a break down yesterday (sigh).

If you'd all say an extra little prayer tonight for my kids - I sure would appeciate it.  You've all been such a close family to me, I appreciate you more than you'll ever know.

    Re: Harley Update

    Hi Sher,

The grieving process can take up to sixteen months to fully work its course. Each holiday and anniversary the first year without your little loved one can trigger memories of what you lost. I knew that this could happen and have continued to pray for you and your family. I am so happy to see that you are still sharing and reaching out on here. We are all here to help in any way that we can so please keep reaching out. Time will work its magic for all of you.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers,

    Betty Kovacs, MS, RD

    BettyKovacs:

    Hi Everyone,

Here is the site about Harley http://www.premierwebcreations.com/harley.

    Betty Kovacs, MS, RD

Our Sunday afternoon is going to be driving up to Akron Children's Hospital and attending a Memorial Service that they are having.  I don't know if this is for the kids lost in '07' or the ones lost in the last quarter of '07' - either way, we will be there at 3pm.

The kids (my son and daughter-in-law) were only allowed to invite 7 people, first ones on her list were her grandmother/grandfather (they raised her and like us - have been in the babies lives since day one), myself and my husband and my ex.  Then came the difficult decisions - my oldest son and his wife started whinning about not being "invited".  Now mind you - here are two people (a sibling of my son's) who NEVER saw the baby.  My daughter-in-law never saw Harley until she brought her own daughter over one night in October for trck-or-treat.  My son NEVER saw Harley until the day of his funderal - and yet they are whining about not being able to go to the Memorial Service.  Again - my ex-mother-in-law is also whining .. she also only saw Harley possibly 3 times ... where as my daughter would babysit Harley & Celia and be over here to see him all the time.  Case closed ... going today will be myself, my husband, my daughter, my ex, Shawn (my son), Beth (his wife) and Beth's grandma.

    Such a wonderful loving family - don't ya think ? !!!!

    Re: Harley Update

It was very tastefully done - something they do every quarter.  So this was for the infants, children, young adults lost between September and December of 07.  Beth (my daughter-in-law) was fine just up to the time they started the service and she broke down and left the chapel.

The surgeon spoke to the kids prior to the Memorial service (which is why they went up earlier) and he told them that Harley truly had no chance and that if she would have had the baby tested while she was early in her pregnancy, they would have strongly suggested terminating the pregnancy.  I told her that we were lucky to have him in our lives those 3 short months and she agreed.

Linda .. thank you for being a friend :)  :)

    Re: Harley Update

Hi Sher:  I can't believe its been a year already.  Of course you're going to be having a hard time today.  You wouldn't be human if you weren't.  You lost a grandson and I'm sure you're still grieving and going through all the different aspects of it.

Maybe remember him in a special way and plant a small plant or something --so many do something like that to honor a passing child.

You're in my thoughts because I'm a grandmother and I can't imagine losing my grandbabies.

    Love,

    Linda
