    Hi!  I'll give this a try.  I am on oatmeal these cold, snowy mornings here in Colorado.  I add vanilla or maple flavoring plus raisins and this really makes me feel great!  I sometimes eat cold cereal, so Special K will be a new addition to this cereal thing.  I eat Oat Flakes.  I go to a health food store about once a month to look around to see what I want to get down that breakfast aisle.  What I have learned while being on this program for 2 months now is breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, just like my Mom used to say.  After sleeping all night, you need fuel for your body to keep going.

     I am a retired lady and live with my husband and 2 Labrador Retrievers.  I have lost 12 lbs now with this program.  I still need to drink more water each day and exercise more.  But it is slowly coming off.  It took a lifetime to gain this weight and will take a while to get this off.

    My favorite breakfast is:

    1/4 cup Egg Beaters, dash of salt and pepper

    2 strips of turkey bacon

    1/2 low carb tortilla wrap

    Sprinkle with low-fat cheese, optional

     

    Cook eggs and turkey bacon.  Pleace in tortilla and add salsa if you wish.  I find this breakfast tastes great and fills me up!

    I love this board, so many ideas!

    I am semi-retired, in CO, also, and I often don't eat breakfast until 11 or 12.

    Or not at all. I have had to (with past diets) learn to eat breakfast,

    What is the best time to eat breakfast? Within an hour of rising?

    I have 6 parrots as well as a Lab mix, cat and demanding fish, and it's like feeding the zoo around here! After I get everyone fed, I just want to get to work! So I guess I need to plan breakfast!

     I love the oatmenl idea and the breakfast burrito! Yum!

    Try 1 slice of Multi-grain waffle, 1 turkey bacon, and 1/2 cup of low-fat cottage cheese!

    May I ask LuckyTwo how long it has taken you to lose the 12 lbs?

    Kashi Waffles with yogurt for dipping instead of syrup was really good this morning along with a glass of soy milk.  I'm planning on having egg whites and turkey bacon tomarrow morning.
