Yahoo, today is a good day on the board, I can actually reply! Patti, you're right, the board is a mess, wonder why they can't fix it. I'm glad to hear school is starting tomorrow, sounds like you need a break, although I don't think you'll get it if you have three more kids coming. Hey, a Fall challenge is a good idea, but not for me right now. I'm into my second day on NutriSystem and my scale told me I lost 2-1/2 pounds since yesterday. Now I've been around this block a time or two and know that it will probably be back on there tomorrow, but it made me feel good anyway. My goal is only five pounds, but of course would love to lose 10. I have increased my exercise quite a bit, and that's about all I can handle for now. But you shouldn't have any problem on this board getting people to sign up for a challenge. I can tell you my weight was 166 yesterday, 163.4 this morning, and I want to get to 159 to get into a healthy BMI.
Linda, congratulations on your cucumbers and zucchini, and Buzz on your tomato. My gardening results are so discouraging. I have plowed a fortune into growing tomatoes and all I have gotten is a few puny ones. My Beefsteak tomatoes look more like Mousesteak. I'll keep trying throughout the month of August, but I don't think it's going to get better. Is your friend who lost the 20 pounds on NutriSystem still on the diet? I didn't order the chicken salad because I couldn't imagine it could be anything good, but so far everything I've tried (which isn't much) has been pretty good.
Liz, how are you doing with your program? How are all the horses doing? I am so envious of you having those beautiful animals around. My daughter has two horses and they sure do take up a lot of time and money, but she loves them to pieces.
Kimberley, I love the Walk at Home DVD. I only made it through the first mile yesterday, but today I'm going for an additional quarter of a mile, and then increase it each day. i couldn't believe I could even do that much, she really picks up the pace.
Buzz, so good to see you back on the board. My weights are only 3 pounds each, I can't imagine lifting two 5-pounds ones. By the time I lift these over my head 15 times, my arms hurt. They're fun though, and I'm going to keep adding to those exercises too. My main motivation here is New York. We are going to Manhattan and the hotel is between Times Square and Central Park. There are so many places I want to see, and I know it will all involve lots of walking.
Elia, have you got this job nailed? You must if you now have time to get back on the board. So good to see you here. I'm watching Fay on the news and it sounds like maybe it will stay a tropical storm and not hurt anybody. Good thing you closed all the shutters though. You should bring Jerry to work with you so he won't be scared.
Back to work for now. Love you guys.
Judy
