    Re: sushi

I am a sushi addict. I love salmon, but when I eat it, I don't really look towards nutritional facts or anything. What fish is best to get? According to that site above, tuna?

    Re: sushi

I love sushi, I think it would be a good dinner if you dont get the deep fried ones and the ones with lots of Cream cheese.  Do you know if most places have the option for brown rice?  Any other comments or heads up on my thoughts about sushi and the alli plan?

    Re: sushi

I've never had brown rice sushi before. Is it any good? I don't really like cream cheese, so I stay away from those anyway.

    Re: sushi

I found sushi noted on the calorieking.com web site.According to the site 1 piece of tuna nigiri has 60 calories, no fat.  Salmon nigiri, one piece again, is 68 calries and 1 gram fat.  The site also lists some rolls as well as the miso soup and wasabi, giner and soy sauce condiments.

    Check it out.

    Re: sushi

Sushi is pretty safe. If you stay away from the american taylored ones like "Philly" rolls with cream cheese. I love LOVE octpus, and the spicey tuna rolls. Very good. Some places prepare their tuna with mayo, but you can ask them not too.....I think.

    Re: sushi

I love love love sushi. I started off with the 'american' types of rolls and recently ventured sashimis. I can't get enough of salmon sashimi, and I haven't tried anything else yet. There's a number of restaurants here in San Francisco that serve brown rice sushi rolls if requested. It's doesn't hurt to give it a try!

    Re: sushi

I think it's different at each place because one night my bf and I went and we got pretty wasted on saki and ordered the super boat with all these different types of maki, sashimi, and regular american roles. I posted it on the board last year. I had at least 6 california rolls,4 philly rolls, two pieces of octopus, 4 spicy tuna rolls, 3 pieces of salmon, some spider rolls, white tuna, and some shrimp, miso soup and salad. Yeah, you would think I would be knocking people out of the way to get to the bathroom. Nothing. Nothing at all. Then I went to this other place and had 4 cali rolls and two pilly rolls and I felt like my butt was going to explode. So if you like philly rolls ask them if they use fat free cream cheese. I think that's what savedmy butt the first time.
