    The 155 Girls!!!

    Hi everyone!  Since there are several of us with a goal weight of between 145 and 155 that have expressed interest in a support group, here it is!  I suppose I'll be brave and start with my numbers...oy vay...

    BW: 181 (1/04/08)

    CW: 177

    Initial GW:  155

    Eventual GW:  145

    Okay, so 181 may not sound high to many of you, but I am a mere 5' 0 tall. Although I have a curvy, broad-shouldered, athletic/muscular  frame, 181 pounds is a LOT for 5' 0.  I am a single mother and a full-time college student.  I have a busy, sedentary (in the car, in class, writing papers, doing research, etc.), and very stressful life right now.  (It doesn't help that I have not made myself a priority AT ALL since having my son 4 years ago and starting school.)  I just started the low-cal/fat diet and the Alli program this past weekend.  I am fortunate enough to have a treadmill so I don't have to embarrass myself at a gym (plus I hate excercise), and my initial goal is to work out at least 3-5 days per week.  I just had to make up my mind that I was NOT going to be a fat graduate (I graduate with my Bachelors degree in May).  I also do NOT want to let my weight continue to creep up, and I desperately want to be around and healthy for as long as possible to see my little boy grow up.  I hope to see the rest of the 155 girls succeed, too!  Maybe someday I'll even see 145 on that scale again...

    This is great! Today is my second day on the plan and I've already lost 2lbs!

    My stats:

    Height: 5'7" 

    SW: 193

     CW:191

    GW: 155 (This would also put me in the normal/healthy BMI range!!)

    I have tried dieting so many times before and I really am committed this time...I have a good feeling about this :)

    It is nice to have other people with the same goal weight.  Here are my numbers...

    BW - 206

    CW - 199

    Goal - 150

    I am 5'10 mother of 4 who works full time.  I teach high school art.  I have been on Alli for 9 days and have lost 7 lbs.  I try to work out 5 days a week for 45 - 60 minutes every day.  I am very pleased with this lifestyle change.  I am doing this because I want to be around longer for my children.  I am unhealthy at this weight and have family history of heart attacks, stroke, and diabetes.  I don't want to be another statistic.  Thanks for creating this forum.

    Thanks Short_Stuff for starting us off! I just started the new year off with Alli as well and i'm excited! I'm avoiding the scale until my 1st check-in this Sunday. I'm officially on day 3 and so far so good! I'm sticking close to the low-cal/low-fat diet so I haven't really experienced major treatment effects (which I was terrified of before starting! lol). I'm also setting a goal to work out at least 30 min 3x a week to start off and already went to the gym once this week and did 15min elliptical and 20 min treadmill. I found that bringing along a magazine makes working out more bearable for me (even though some people say its not a good idea since you don't break enough of a sweat that way). My workout activity was very low paced since I haven't been to the gym in months.

    I started my own home-based business last year and due to the nature of my business I often dine out with clients in the evenings and frequently skip meals and then over eat (the wrong things) during my fast paced workdays. I am really hoping that alli combined with my new diet plan will help me to stay on-track and lose the extra weight.

    i'm in the same boat!  155 would put me back at a healthy bmi... that would be wonderful!  

    i'm 5-7, mom of a toddler boy and 29.  wanna be fit again before 30 in november.

    Just giving my stats as well. Started Alli yesterday.

    SW/CW= 210

    GW= 140

    I'm 5'6". I'm hoping a GW of 140 isn't overdoing it. I weighed 135 when I got married 16 years ago.

    Good Morning All

    Yes, getting to the 150's again will be great!!  I'm a mom of two girls, 7 and 3.  I just started back to work part time as a Massage Therapist.  My job is very physical so I'm hoping  that will help burn some calories.  When I worked full time, I could eat anything and never gain. Since being on Sabatical for four years I've put on 35lbs!!  Getting down to 155 will put me at pre-wedding weight which I haven't seen since 1995!!

    I started on Jan 2nd with the pills.  Just yesturday I've seen the orange spots.  It takes a few days.  I see that as a sign that it is working.  Nothing extreme, though.  My first check in date is this Sat.  I know the numbers are down but they are not official until then. ;)

    I have a lofty mini goal of breaking the 190's by Valentines.  I think this will jump start me.  Plus I gained 7lbs just over Christmas.  Hopefully that won't stick around long!!

    After Valentine's Day, I'll set another mini-goal and another and another!!  Step by Step!!

    You go girl, don't give up it takes time but you will get there, I started alli on 1/7/08 and had lost so far 5 lbs BW 175LBS CW 170LBS GW 145LBS, but I have lost 85 lbs before alli I use to weigh 260lbs and lost the weight with LA Weight loss but I stoped going 3 months ago, I decided to go back with that plan but they shut down, so I decided to start Alli. I took me about a year to lose the weight it's a strugle but it's worth it. Be strong...

    My weigh in is tomorrow, but I snuck a peek this morning.....I think I can be happy about 5lbs, huh?  <happy dance!>

    Hi I think that this group is a great idea I started 1/2/08 BW 207 CW 196 GW 145 2nd GW 135 I gaind all my weight when I got back from basic training. At that time I was 132 and as fit as could be. When I got home I still ate as much food but Worked out hardly at all. My diet also changed. At BMT (basic military training) I would drink a lot of water at home I drink pop. I would eat alot at BMT but it was all healthy food. Now I don't feel like I eat alot but I was not eating the right things. So I have started working out again. Found I still love them push-ups and eating good things for me.

    I started Alli on 1-2-08. BW 175 lbs CW 169 GW 145.

    i am only 5'2 so i need the help and support from people like me to help me lose the weight. I am determined. I had a baby a year ago and i need to get this weight off.

    And I'm sad to say that I have you beat...I also belong to  TOPS and had my weigh in today so I know that my weight is right..

    Current weight: 293.25

    Mini goal weight: 200

    Goal: 165
