    Re: The 155 Girls!!!

I stopped posting for a couple of months because I am stuck at 172.  I could handle it for a while, but geez it gets old.  Son just headed to college last week.  I'm getting ready to start new job in new location.  I am hoping that by sticking to the menus and lessening the stress around me, I will be able to drop those 17  clinging pounds.

I must say that I am a little disappointed in the weight loss results.  My largest issue is that I don't eat as much as the guidelines prescribe.  I exercise far more than the suggested amount.  Ya, I know WHAT the issue is, but changing it isn't easy.  The 'counselors' and feedback mechanisms are less than perfect.  I find the message boards the best place to turn.

I will not give up.  I find that the menus are very helpful, tasty, and full of variety.  I suppose I need to look at losing over 10 pounds this year and NOT gaining it back; adapting better eating habits.  I just want smaller clothes ;)

I noticed that same thing a few weeks ago.  I guess at some point the program turns you over to maintenance mode, even if you are still working toward your goal weight.  I stuck with the maintenance as I didn't want to start over.  I've adjusted my mindset to focus on the next 10 pounds: get to 170, then 160, then 150.   I'm hoping my setting the minigoals I will keep the motivation.

    Hello Everyone!!

I am 44 years old and have been diabetic since 2001 and on insulin since 2004, after contracting lym disease. My plans are to come off of insulin. I don't like it and I want off!!! The good thing is that my diabetes is weight induced which means that I CAN so something about it. I started Alli on Sunday, July 13, 2008.

Someone help me figure out to put a post up here.  All I can do is 'reply' on one of your posts - which I still find encouraging.

I have been busy but still on alli and doing well.

I have lost 47 lbs and am going to hit 50 soon but the weight loss has gotten slower or I have gotten less careful with what I have been eating.  I am still pleased with my progrees and if it has slowed down, well, I am still losing!!!
