Is it ok to consume alcohol while using Alli?

I haven't started Alli yet - I'm reading up on it to decide if it is for me.  I am nervous of experiencing t.e.'s!!  But, I do occasionally like to meet my friends out for drinks.  Can you consue alcohol with Alli?

Yes, you can have some alcohol on the Alli Program.  You'll need to include the calories from the alcohol + any mixers (tonic, OJ, etc.) that you use in your daily counts.

    I hope this helps.

I'm a bartender and usually have a few drinks (2-3) after work twice a week.  I know that I need to factor in the calories and fat, but should I take a pill beforer my drinks?

PS- Sorry!  I know this is a lame question!

There isn't any fat in alcohol, so there would be no reason to take a pill unless you are eating something which contains fat along with it.

Alli only works in the gut to block some of the fat in the meal at which you take it, so alcohol is not a factor.  However, beware of those peanuts that are at most bars!

    I hope this helps.
