    Re: Whats your biggest weakness?

Sweet tooth!!!  I have trouble in the evening after dinner while watching tv with my family.  I just started alli this week, and have been following the low fat diet for about 2 weeks.  I have been able to avoid breaking thus far, hope I don't break!!

Rompers I agree with you.  I don'tg have one thing that I have a weakness for, I'm just a snacking in general and I have the biggest snack cravings in the evenings, after I put my 3yr old to bed.  I have a HARD time sitting up in the bed, watching TV and "snacking" on whatever has a crunch.

    Re: Whats your biggest weakness?

My biggest weakness is being a cook. And the types of foods that can kill my diets include the following:

    • Brownies with Almonds; my grandparents make them all the time and I still live at home (only 18 don't worry) :) I live right next to the college I am attending.
    • Basically every dinner at home; which includes like everything that is bad for you, oils, fried foods, margarine, a butt load of BAD cholesterol and much more.
    • Pancakes (buttermilk); that's all I have to say there. Is buttermilk pancakes, who doesn't love them?
    • Bacon; morning isn't just right without bacon added to the breakfast
The list actually goes so long it would take me about half an hour to write with details. But basically every baked good, and horrible idea for a breakfast meal.

    Re: Whats your biggest weakness?

I hae a huge weakness for chocolate.  Can I make a suggestion.  I bough Weight Watchers Fudge Bars.  They were a little expensive but onyl had 110 calories and 1 fat gram.  They curved my sweet tooth.  I can not live without my chocolate.

    Re: Whats your biggest weakness?

My biggest weaknesses are the sweets and dining out.

So far, I've been keeping my paws off sweets, but it is getting harder and harder to resist the urge, espcially when watching a movie with the family and they are all eating ice cream and I'm sitting there with whole wheat crackers.

Now dining out, I've been really bad with. I'm trying not to eat out, but I work in a sports bar, and It's hard not to eat the food for lunch or dinner, especially when you're working a double shift. I think this is where I got my weight from, I've worked there for about 8 months now, and every time I work I always eat. Those fried chicken tenders and buffalo wings are the bomb! Now, just to step away from the bomb before it blows up...

-->Does anyone have any advice to kick the urge?

I eat low fat cheese all the time. For me I can't seem to taste the difference. And it doesn't cost much. I usually find it on sale. 2 for 5

    Re: Whats your biggest weakness?

    Hi Dana,

I know this sounds boring, but you need to bring your own food to work.  It doesn't mean you wouldn't be ablet to indulge once in a while, but when you begin eating healthier food which satisfy you and give you energy and vitality, those urges diminish.  Think about how you feel after eating the chicken and then visualize how you want to look and feel.

    Hope this helps

    Re: Whats your biggest weakness?

Start alli 2 weeks ago, had my first weigh in on Saturday. Have lost 3 pounds so far. Not great, but not bad. I just wanted to post to NickCaissey. Cooking does make it hard but I decided that everyone in my family is going to eat healthier.....whether they like it or not....lol! When we get the urge for sweets, I buy the sugar-free popsicles and sugar-free pudding. The kids don't even notice a difference.

Also started buy the 100 chips for hubby, cuz he is a chip man and 100 cookies for snacks. Sweets are my weakness, will be trying the green tea to see if that helps = )

We found a breakfast menu in the Alli book for Eggo multigrain waffles (140 calories 2.5 grams of fat) and strawberries (buying frozen right now, no fresh in season) and turkey bacon (which I think tastes as good as regular bacon). I blend up a few of the strawberrys to make like a smoothie and then I chop up a few to put with it and pour that over the waffles.......its really good and you dont feel like its a diet.

There are so many great low fat recipes out there that dont taste low fat, you should check it out.

    Good Luck All!
