    Re: Exercise weight gain

    Thanks Paul

I use the wrist when I am doing arm raises. and on the ankle when I do leg lifts. If this is still not good let me know.  I will also go into the alli exercises and see which ones I can start to do.

    Thank a lot.

    Diane

    Re: Exercise weight gain

    Hi Glidewell,

Thanks for that input.  It's true that ankle weights can cause a lot more harm than good.  You risk throwing your body out of alignment and causing injuries to your spine and hips, etc.  A controlled session of traditional strength training is much more beneficial.

    Good Luck,

    Paul

    Re: Exercise weight gain

    Hi Diane,

This is a better situation than walking or performing cardio exercises with the weights strapped to you.  It is optimal to use dumbells though becuase of the greater control you'll have.  However, if the weight you are using isn't cauding you to strain any of your joints or ligaments, they should be ok for this purpose.

    Good Luck,

    Paul
