    My wedding ring fell off

Since I've been on Alli and have been losing weight (39 lbs. total), I've noticed that my wedding band has been fitting a lot more loosely. Well, this morning when I got in the shower, the thing finally fell off my finger on the shower floor. I told my husband that when I get to my goal weight (130 lbs.) that he would have to get me another band. ( 53 more pounds to goal) What a great incentive this will be in order for me to lose more weight!!

Re: My wedding ring fell off

I had the same thing happen to me!  It wasn't a wedding ring but it was a diamond ring with a lot of sentimental value, (as well as $).  I didn't even feel it slip off and it was lost for three days.  I was sick about it.  One day as the garage door lifted I saw a sparkle on the driveway, right outside the garage door, and it was my ring.  Since then I have moved it to the middle finger of my left hand (instead of ring finger), and then moved it again to the middle finger of my right hand, (I've lost 39 pounds.)  One thing I thought of doing is having rings that are too big resized.  (Of course, you may very well want to use this great excuse to get your hubby to buy you a new band.)  Congratulations on your weight loss - this plan is the bomb!

Re: My wedding ring fell off

My wedding rings are able to slip around a lot now.  They're getting to be pretty close to falling off on their own.  I refuse to have them resized until a) reach my goal weight [5 pounds to the original goal but need to lose more] and until b) I maintain my weight loss for at least 6 months.  At least that's what I say now.  I retain the right to change my mind at any point ;)  It's wonderful now to look at my fingers and they no longer resemble little sausages.

Re: My wedding ring fell off

after I had a baby and gained an extra 40+ lbs, my wedding rings weren't able to fit anymore. My husband wanted (insisted) we take them to get resized, but I refused. I'm looking forward to the day I can proudly wear my wedding ring, and having it mean even more to me.

Re: My wedding ring fell off

Mine too. My ring hasn't fallen off on its own yet, but it always hangs upside-down, and I'm taking it to get resixzed today. I've lost 45 pounds officially, and unofficially, it's closer to fifty. I swear, you never think about these things when you lose weight, or the fact that you'll have to get rid of your wardrobe. Losing weight is so worth it, but it's pricy! --beautyredefined
SW: Officially 181, had seen up to 185 though. July 2007 CW: 132 GW: Originally it had been 134, set many years ago when I never thought it was a feasible goal. I've hit that and am floundering a bit trying to get to my new goal of 125 which would be a BMI of 22.

    I NEED HELP!

I do not know if I am doing this right...am I suppose to be taking 3 pills a day? or just when the meal is more than 10 grams a fat a meal?

It has been a week and it is so hard. I am getting married June 8th and I now weigh 204 lbs and i need to lose 25 lbs at least ....

I usually eat oatmeal for breakfast, then a prtoein shake for  a snack then salad for lunch with 2 table spoons of dressing then like 5 strawberries for a snack then dinner which will consist of a meat and a vegetable...I dont know what I am doing here....

Can anyone help me? Am I doing something wrong? I read tons of you having lost 3 lbs here and 3 lbs there but I havent lost a thing....

Re: My wedding ring fell off

mlpedroza, take a close look at your fat and calories allowance.  Make sure you're reaching those goals.  You can take a pill any time your meal consists of at least 6 or 7 grams of fat, but it's easy to boost that with an olive or two or a couple of nuts.  It sounds like you aren't allowing yourself much food and since you're at the beginning of the plan, you're probably allowed 1600 or 1800 calories.  Use them!  When you get closer to your goal weight and get bumped down to the next level, you'll miss them.  I've been at 1400 since September and started on the 1600 plan last June.  So many others get to eat more than I do.  I'd love to have that option, but it's not for me.  While you've got it, use it!  Believe it or not, Alli helps more when you have closer to your fat grams per meal.

Re: My wedding ring fell off

I haven't been able to take any of my rings off (wedding included) for years now!

I have to clean them while they are on my fingers.

My mother's ring lost one stone and I have been wanting to lose weight so I can take it off to repair it!

This is one milestone I have been looking forward to!

They fit looser and are spinning around, which is GOOOOOD!

    Alli start 12/30/07

    SW 222 lbs - CW 164.5 lbs

    I've lost 57.5 lbs!

    I HIT NORMAL BMI 24.9 on 8/10/08!

    (I was 32.8 Obese!)
