    Something Wonderful Happened Today1

I had great news today. I have been on Alli about 6 months and have lost about 20 pounds total. I am a real slow looser. My Cholesterol level was high when I had my checkup before starting on Alli (It was 225) and my Dr. agreed I could continue on my diet for 6 months and try to loose some weiight. Anyway, to make a long story short I had my 6 month lab work done last week and got results back today and hooray, my cholesterol is now 169. My good colesterol rose 18%, my bad dropped 50%. My Dr. was really thrilled and of course so was I. My chance of having a stroke of heart attack is only 2% now. I have 19 more to go and Hopefully I will be off my blood pressure pill soon. No cholesterol pills for me! Yeah!

    Hi Ellie133,

This is wonderful news! I know that weight loss is the ultimate goal, but no one should overlook the power of the numbers inside of you. As you have seen, your health has significantly improved without even reaching your goal weight!

    Congratulations,

    Betty Kovacs, MS, RD
