Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

     Hi Bec130

I hope you are having a better week.  I felt like giving up all weekend.  Lots of "other" stuff contributing.  But.... have to pick up and forge ahead.  Take care of #1 before everyone else.  That's what I keep trying to tell myself.  Have a good day.

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

Okay, I need suggestions.  We put a deposit down on a chocolate lab puppy and now we are trying to figure out a name.  We already have Hershey at home, so that's out and my husband nixed Nestle already.  So any suggestions would be appreciated!

I know, this has nothing to do with losing weight, but it is keeping my mind off eating :0)

What about cocoa, or brownie?  I think nameing our pets has always been harder then nameing our three kids was.

my second weigh in was today...not as bad as I expected.  I figured for sure I had gained weight, with all the fried foods last week but I stayed the same.  I am to happy about not gaining to stress about not loseing.  I will post my Loss next week.  I have been trying to stay busy and drink lots of water this week.  I tend to stress eat and I have a big second interview on Thursday evening.  It will be with 10 people and I have never interviewed in front of that many people before.    I really want this job!

    Re: ***DOGGIE NAMES !!!!

Is it a boy or girl?  Has it got any marks or any funny actions it does?  We have a austrialian shepard that we rescued from the dog pound and named him Lucky because if he did not go home with us he would be no more.  So he was lucky to be alive.  Are you getting the new dog for a companion for Hershey?  What is the day you will pick it up?  My kids name their kittens by the day they are born.  We have a Tuesday, Sunday, Sleepy, Whinny, Whiskers and Black.  Nothing to original..... How about CoCo.  Nice and chocolate.....  We have a horse that was born on Martin Luther King's birthday so of course the horse was named Martin but we call him King.  Another horse was born on Sunday and danced all day long so......we named her Sundance.  Anyway this has absolutely nothing to do with losing weight or naming your new addition but at least it was fun.   Thanks, Lisa

    Re: ***Puppy names !!!!!

Now this is funny.  I was reading your post about dogs names and I didn't look at the current posts.  After I posted my choice I started reading the current entries and look everyone is saying Cocoa !!! I think you might have a name for that new little pup.  Lisa

    Re: ***Puppy names !!!!!

I'm sorry to crash your thread, but I thought this was kind of funny - when I read about you looking for a name for your puppy, you'll never guess what first came to mind...

    Cocoa :-)

    Just had to share :-)

    Take Care Everyone!

    Re: ***Puppy names !!!!!

Thank you to everyone for Cocoa, but we already nixed that one.  There are too many chocolate labs with that name.  I want something a little more unusual but appropriate.  A guy at work suggested Leo for Leonidas Belgium Chocolate--that was pretty cool.  I am compiling a list and my husband, son and I will pick from the list.  I will add Cocoa back in just in case and will let you know what the decision is.

    Thanks again!

    Re: **Puppy names !!!!!

Thank you bec130.  I have a list of about 60 names and those three were not on it.  I kinda like Fudge (one syllable is easier for training).

    Stay tuned for the decision.

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

Hi - This may sound like a silly question, but is there a place to just make a general post somewhere in this thread without having to reply to someone.  I don't mind replying back and forth and sharing, but can you just make a general post to everyone.  Just wondering.  Still learning all the ropes, obviously.  I've looked at other threads, but like this one, because I have the 50 pounds to lose. Sometimes I just have something to post without replying to someone else, just want to make a general comment.   I like to read all the postings when I have the time.

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

Well, as a Weight Watcher Junkie, I just could NOT walk back into the meeting one more time!  (17 times at last count).  My doctor told me I needed to eliminate red meat from my diet and take off some of the weight.  She is monitoring me every 3 months and suggested I find some walking buddies and try the Alli program to see if I like it since it is approved by the FDA and seems safe.  At first I was using the restroom constantly the first week, but had lost a solid 5 pounds by the end of the first week so I was ok with that.  Thinking I would "slow down", I did not expect the next 5 to come off the following week.  I had stayed busy and tried many of the recipes to the letter that the menu had recommended -- I like to try new foods too.  I kept the fridge stocked and looked at labels.  I was 220, now I am 208 and I have been on it for 3 weeks.  The last week I went to take a class and was sedentary most of the time.  I only took 2 pills a day instead of 3 and lost only 2 pounds last week.  During my monthly cycle I also have up and down weight.  I drink alot of water and hope to get out with my walking buddies again next week a few times -- the exercise 45 minutes of brisk walking REALLY kicked the pounds off.  I feel better.  Doctor also told me to supplement my multivitamin with some Flax 1000 mg. a day to help with fiber.    Good to know others are trying.  Made me sad to see the defeat in some blogs.  Knowing the dr. is trusting me to lose it and not dig my way into an early grave with a knife and fork made all the difference!!! Good luck.  See ya soon.

TLC-you can hit reply but post your own comment or whatever. it doesn't matter how you post it puts it on the thread in the order they're approved.
