     Hi Everyone,

    Glad to know I am not alone.

    I started the program 3 weeks ago tomorrow and have lost 8 pounds so far.

    I weigh in tomorrow and each time I do I am teriffied that although I have followed the program I will not have lost any weight.  Started at 198.5 and am down to 190.5.  I am happy with my progress but in the past have gotten demotivated quickly and that caused me to quit.  I'm glad I found you guys!!!!

    My goal is to lose 50 pounds by the end of the year but I want to lose at least 60 overall.

     Thanks for all infor, encouragement and the pep talk. As for what I'm eating.  I print the Alli memus for the week and follow them as close as possible.  I don't use all the seasoning they call for and some of the veggys.  I substitute the vegetables as most of them have very low or no fat. I have started to walk a bit more and started to do some weight lifts.  Hopefully this will at least give me a 1 lb loss for the week.  I have till Monday to get some off.  Keep your fingers crossed and pray that it works.

     Nyla glad to see you are back, you are a huge motivator and even when I'm not able to post I would always log on and read what you'll were talking about during the day while your home.

     I agree with you Nyla, since I've been on ALLI and working out I feel good. Although the last few weeks my weight has been fluxuating 2 lbs or so. I know I still lost inches and some of my clothes aren't as tight anymore and I can't wear some of my pant's that don't have built loops. I will get over this hurdle and break under 200.

    You are doing great I started a little of 2 months ago and I've only lost 10 lbs.

    Only ten pounds?!?!  Go to the grocery store and make a pile of one pound butter boxes and see just how much you've lost!  I say, fantastic!  Everyone loses at his or her own rate.  How are you liking the diet? Are you eating enough and getting enough fat so that the Alli pills work? If so, then just stick to it. I'll bet those pounds will continue to come off.  Try not to be discouraged.

    Just weighed in and I have lost 2 lbs--I have been stuck for the last month, so it is nice to see it go down!

     Hi Barbara, you just jump on in at any point you want to.  Everyone is welcome here.  Tell us a little about yourself.  This is a growing thread with many newbies joining almost on a daily basis.  Some of us have gotten to know each other quite well and have become good friends.  You will find a lot of support and encouragement on this thread.  Have you had your first weigh in yet?  Let us know how things go for you and if we can help in any way just ask.

     Hi, I'm new here to this board, too.  But I do love what Alli is doing for me and I just have to tell everyone. 

    I am in my 50's and I started using Alli on June 24, 2008 and have lost 13 pounds as of this morning.  I find that I am not following the diet plan.  I watch what I eat, stay at or under the number of calories I am supposed to have, watch the fat grams, take my Alli capsules at meals and my vitamin at night, exercise more than I had been, and the weight is peeling off.  See, I have never been able to follow a "diet".   I consider what I am doing as a lifestyle change.  I never feel like I am starving myself.  Sometimes I feel as if I am eating more than I did before starting Alli.  What it is, is that I am eating better...eating healthier.  I have never had any treatment effects with Alli.  I love the fact that you all are here for support and encouragment.  I wish you all the best!!!     Starting weight...180...current weight...167....goal...130....I don't care how long it takes...1-2 pounds a month weight loss is okay by me...I know with Alli's help, this time I am going to make it and keep it off.

    Goal is to be able to run in anything from a 5K to a marathon.  I have a 5K coming up in November that last year I walked more than ran.  This year I plan on running more than walking.

     Thank you Leslye for your encouraging words. You got me back into perspective. I'm loving the diet and fat is my problem and have to stop telling myself I'm eating to much. I find myself thinking I'm eating to much when I'm actually not eating enough to get my fat grams. This week I made sure I ate enough food to get my fat and calories. I buy everything low in fat I've changed my whole house. My daughter doesn't like the ground turkey or ground chicken. Did anyone no that ground chicken had less fat than ground turkey. It all taste fine to me in spaghetti, chili, sloppy joes, hamburger helper etc. I love the turkey sausage and bacon. My husband likes it and realizes it's helping him as well. He's lost weight and isn't even on ALLI. Don't you hate it when the weight just falls off men when there not even trying. Well I've jabbed enough thanks again Leslye have a good weekend.

    That is so cool that you want to run/walk in a race!  I've been wanting to walk in a full or half marathan for the past 2 years.  There's a half marathon coming up in mid-October that I have been thinking about doing.  If I'm going to do it, I have to start training literally today!  I want to do a half marathon first so I can really see (and feel) what it's like to walk 13.1 miles all in one setting.  If nothing else, the consistent training alone will help boost my weight loss.

     Nai2White, you are welcome.  Here's something that will make you laugh.  This week, I posted on another thread asking for help because I wasn't hungry and couldn't finish my menus.  I was eating all the right things, exercising the same, counting every gram and calorie that went into my body.  I was sure I'd show at least a three pound loss this week at checkin, but NO.  I GAINED two pounds! Talk about frustrating......But I'll keep up a while longer and see if I won't start losing again.

    BTW, I like how you've changed the words from the Chanukah Haftorah from the Book of the Prophet Zecharia, "Lo v'chayil v'lo v'cho-ach...".   In my case, today, I need the might and the power AND the spirit to keep on keeping on......

    Hi Liz, I'm jumping in too. Just started today with the program. I'm a Lifetime member of Weight Watchers and have been for many years. Lose...gain.,lose...gain etc. Soooo I thought I would try alli. I was wondering if any of you are using any of the recipes on the other thread, it seems to me they're very rich. Don't know if I should use or stick with the WW program. Advice anyone? Lucy

    Hey everyone!  My name is Shannon, I'm 31 from Arkansas.  It looks like this is the best thread so I want to join too.  I'm on my 4th week and I've lost 11 pounds. This is the first diet I have every stayed on past 2 weeks and I'm still excited about it.  Just wish someone else in my family would be excited too.  I feel like I am constantly getting sabotaged.  Also, I started last week doing excecise.  I bought the Weight Watchers Videos (because I found them at a yardsale).  They are 30 minute workouts. I was finally able to do the first one all the way through.  What is sad it is it low intensity and I was alwasy tired after 15 minutes.  Well I look forward to getting to know everyone.
