     Nikki---Good for you on shrugging off the bad remark and holding onto the good! People that have never had a weight problem, just do not understand...ok, not their fault maybe, because they never had to deal with the things we do....but reguardless, they should take that into consideration and try to understand. Ya know? Ok, maybe I am just rambling! Whats new! LOL Anyways, watch later she will try to tell ya that you look anerexic or something! hahaha Well I for one am proud of you and I am sure there are many here that are too. Keep up the good work.      Amanda---Here this is just for you...I added up my inches difference and here is what I have lost so far in inches.....18 1/2 inches gone. 3 arms, 4 chest, 4 waist, 4 1/2 hips, 3 thighs....and I did not measure my calves, dang it! Well I am ok with just that! So anyways I had not ever totaled that up but wanted to share with ya now that you brought that up....have a great day! Dang, kinda glad I did that....18 1/2 is not too bad!!!! (I am now patting myself on the back! hee heee)

     Wow, Your doing great. I will be starting my pills 9/12, I want to lose at least 60lbs. My weight now is 223, You just gave me hope.

      Are you able to exercise? I have to have knee replacement so I dont know what I can do to exercise.Any surgestions?

       Keep up the good work, I'll be right behide you.

     Leslie--(now we have 2 Leslie's but one is spelt Leslye) Welcome!!! I am not sure if you were talking to me in the post, but as you will soon find out....I am a blabber and talk to everyone! LOL I do 'usually' do some exercise, but have not been really on it lately. I need to. After my kids got out of school for summer, I pretty much put everything on hold. It was just too hard to do exercise and all with them home. And was kinda short on cash for "my foods" due to the extra eating of 3 kids at home allllll day! I thought I was gonna have to have them all get jobs to feed themselves..hahaha Anyways, I have a knee that is bad from an accident a long time ago, and I have a Air Climber (basically a stepping machine) and it actually does not hurt me at all, if anything, it has helped. Keep in mind too that as you start dropping that weight, your knees will get better too. For every 1 pound of weight lost, you relieve 4 pounds of pressure from your knees! Amazing! My knee seems to get better. If I were you, take it easy on the exercise...go slow at first. But the best kind for you (if you have access) would be water exercise. That would keep your knees from getting too much of a workout. If not something you can do, then whatever you choose to do, go slow! You dont want to get hurt and hold you back even further. I have also suggested to others a workout of sitting down. Or try a ball to do some stretching and some weight exercise. Just remember that anything you do to "move" is a help, so just stay within your limits. Good Luck!!! Keep us posten on how you are doing. Hollar if you need anything.

    Nyla - Thanks for the encouragement.  I needed it today. I let my stomach overrule my mind and ate Chinese Food.  I thought it can't be that bad.  I was just looking at the fat and calores in General Tso's chicken.  Oh no is all I have to say.  I ate less than I normally do, but still.  And fried rice it was a lot worse for me also.  Anyway, I'm going to have to get better if I loose that 2 lbs this week.  I tell myself I need to splurge every now and then.  I weigh in on Saturdays so the rest of the week I have to good.  Thanks for the support! - Shannon

     Shannon--always here for ya, so no problem! Hey, I love Chinese food. It is one thing that I just have to have once in a while. Have to! Anyways, next time you feel you HAVE to have it..do...but try to do veggies on the side and maybe a little (very little) steamed rice, and opt for like a vegi/chicken main item. I love to go to Panda Express and when I do I always get like Chicken and green beans and/or black pepper chicken or something (not the yummy orange chicken...mmm mmm good...no, bad!). It is hard not to have the fried rice and chow mein though...but we gotta try. But hey, like I always say, you gotta just do it once in a while. This is a lifestyle change not a diet, right. So eat something you want once in a while or you will tend to cheat, cheat, cheat with all kinds of other stuff trying to get the satisfaction that you would have had by having the one thing you wanted. Make sence??? Like wanting a chocolate chip cookie and instead having sugar free, fat free crappy cardboard cookie...then you eat the whole dang box....instead of that one yummy chocolate chip cookie you really wanted...and half the time you end up having it too.....am I right??? I know I have done it. That is why I have learned along the way to give into it once in a while, I think it is healthy to splurge  (in moderation) once in a while! Anyways, gotta run. Keep up the good work...do some extra cardio to burn that chinese food off before it makes a nice cozy home on your booty! hahaha

     Hi,

    Well tomorrow I start my pill's, so far on the low fat diet I'm doing ok. Should I weigh myself tomorrow morning before I start my pill's?

    I love reading how everyone is doing, makes me know I'm not alone, real strange we are all about the same size.lol  I even did a little exercise sitting in a chair yesterday. I have a bad knee so I cant stand to long.Is there a chat room here that we can all go to to chat? If not is it ok to start on on AOL??

     Leslie--Glad you were able to do some exercise in the chair. I told ya, every little bit will help. Bad knee does not mean you cant work arms or other areas. I am so proud of you! Keep it up. And I dont know if I am too late to say this now, but definately weigh yourself in morning before starting. Then, try to control yourself and dont weigh for a week. Its hard, but try! It is weird about so many of us being close in size. we have talked about that before. Anyways, I gotta run but I will try to pop on later.

     I am petite also just barely five foot. I started Alli last year and lost 35 lbs. kept if off and have been real happy. Even with the loss of 35 lbs I was still way overweight. Anyway I restarted Alli right after the Summer and have lost another 11 lbs.during first two weeks.  So I have about 50 lbs. to go. There are so many people on Alli now.....a new hope for people. I get the situation of being short and being heavy...anyway best of luck to everyone.

     pbenner--Congratulations on that 35 lost and still lost! How long did it take you the first time? And also congrats for the restart of the 11 pounds so far! Great job!!! Sounds as though you allready know what your doing, but if you need any extra support or anything, we are here for you. Thanks for shareing with us. It is always good to share things like that with others that are just starting, it gives them the motivation to keep going knowing that it can be done. Anyways, keep us posted on how you are doing.      Good Morning ALL---Hope everyone is doing great today so far! I am just getting kids ready for school (ok, they are getting ready, I am supervising! LOL) MAn I worked out (weights) yesterday...and whew, My arms are killing me today. Gonna go have me a protein shake for breakfast (and some pain pills..hahaha) I did a chest, back, and arms and little spurts of like 200 steps on the AC a couple times too. I sure am feeling the stretch in the chest area today though. I am gonna work on abs, booty, and legs today...squats and lunges yuck!  Anyways just wanted to pop in and see how everyone was doing. Hope you all have a good day today. Be strong and keep going! Talk with you all later on today. Got some running around to do today (SIKE--in the car, I am not really 'running'...LOL) Who am I trying to kid. Take care.

     I am still going strong but did have an extra cup of Turkey Chili and have a cup of cookies n cream frozen yogurt. Which made me go over my recommended calories. :(  BUT I did 9 miles of cardio. I know I am going to hit a plateau sooner or later and the weight loss will resume within 7-10 days I am sure BUT I am not stopping. Still have 50 pounds to go !!!! Good-luck E1  Amanda

    I smiled when I read your post because it reminds me of what my hubby always says when I say I'm gonna "run to the store."  Totally deadpan he will stop whatever he is doing and say,  "I've gotta see this.  YOU are going to RUN?"   Yeah, ha ha!  Like he actually ever breaks into a run himself!
