Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

     Hi Everyone!

I'm Linda and I just officially started today - I actually started on Saturday, but have just logged in because of internet problems.  So far so good - I have already lost three pounds.  My problem is that I am all excited now and I know that a month from now, I'm going to need a good "kick" to get going again.  The thing I like about this plan is that we actually get to eat "real food" that I already have in the house!!

I have a great support system - my husband and daughter are behind me every step of the way!

Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself and I'm glad we are all on this train together!!  Have a great day!

    -Linda

Welcome, Linda, and, GREAT JOB on your weight loss!  I lost two pounds in my first week on alli.  You've lost more than that in about half the time!  Congratulations!

Hi Claire, I'm from Ireland too...as you might guess from the name! I'm able to access my alliplan online  - you need to input the code from the booklet or it won't track your progress....alternatively email alli and they'll add it for you.  The site can be a bit difficult to navigate but I figure anything that helps me keep on track to lose the weight is worth it!

How are you doing now...must be stressful at this stage of the wedding preparations - hope you're able to be organised with your meal plans!

    Keep up the good work!

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

Can anyone tell me how many pills to take in one day?  I am an American but I live in Estonia.  I bought alli from the RX but cannot read the directions.  On the website it tells me I need a code to enter to be able to read the diet and directions.  My box did not come with a code.  How can I get in and get started?  I have written to Alli but not response yet.  I  also have 50 pounds to lose.

With the bottle of Alli, you should have some booklets that tell you about Alli.  Inside the front cover of one of the booklets, you will find the code.  Without a code, how did you get to log onto Alli?  I had to have the code for that!  Without being sure the Alli there is the same as here, I don't know that you want to take them like we do here in the states.  I think you should wait to talk directly to someone from Alli.  Just my opinion

As long as you try, you will be successful.

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

     Hi Linda,

I just started Alli on Saturday and am very hopeful that this product will work.  I am a mother of 3 and work full time and have battled my weight since the birth of my first child 7 years ago.  What made me really know that this product works was seeing a former co-worker who I have not seen in about 3 months lose weight. She resigned from my company, but when I last saw her she was a size 18 and now she is a size 12 and looks Fantastic. She said she only had a few mistakes on the plan but she follows it daily and exercises twice a week.  I was so happy to see her lose that weight and felt that this could be possible for me.

I am just running my mouth, but congrats to you for joining and good luck

    Take care

    ~ Anitra

    Hi,

My name is Melanie.  I am new to this... I am starting ALLI next week as soon as we get back from vacation (worried about the "effects" that may happen when I first start).  My CW/SW=200 my GW=150.  I have an 8 month old daughter and would like to get back to my first trimester/pre-pregnancy weight.  Heck right now I would not mind my weight when I gave birth (180)! LOL Well a journey starts with a single step so here goes nothing!

But for the grace of God...

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

    Hi Everyone,

I started Alli around September 25 and have lost 3.6lbs. I originally weighed 225lbs last May and checked into getting a lap band mid August at a weight of 217. Dr. wanted me to lose 10lbs and put me on low calorie high protein diet before surgery. I went in for surgery on Sept 3 BUT they found a tumor at the junction where my esophagus meets my stomach and needless to say no lap band. It has been a terrible month for me as the first diagnosis from the biopsy was for a type of tumor that most likely is cancerous or can easily turn that way. BUT luck on my side when the pathologist decided to take a third slide and follow it longer and more closely, it turns out that it is benign. This was then confirmed by a specialist at the local university hospital (great reputation). I cant tell you how hard it is dealing with what goes through your mind when experiencing all of this as I have always felt really healthy despite my weight. But I am not ready to go yet! I need to be able to go swimming with my son, and do so many things that I have missed out on for being fat my whole life. This has become a priority for me now and I am hoping Alli will be a tool that can help get me there. After my biopsy surgery, I couldn't eat much and my body went into starvation mode where I just couldn't lose anything for about 3 weeks but just this past week and half, I'm down 3.6! It is so encouraging to see all of you here.

    Thanks for listening!

    Nicole

Re: ***Users with 50 lbs. to lose to Reach Goal Weight***

Nicole, wow, that is one heck of an emotional ride you've been on.  I"m glad to hear it was benign.  You seem to have a good attitude and the right reasons to lose weight.  One (of a hundred lol) of the reasons I need to lose weight is definitely because of my kids, but also because I don't want them to be embarrassed of me in front of their friends.  I know that sounds odd, but I remember feeling that way when I was a kid.  Kids are so mean and my kids are coming to the age now, where this might become an issue.  There is so many things I want to do, but wont because of how fat I am. So this is it.  I'm 28 yers old, and I do not want to turn thirty weighing over 200lbs.  Congrats on the 3.6 lbs, and keep it going! I love these posts, I feel like a real person in them and I get so much motivation and encouragement.  Keep up the great work!!

I can relate to being on your feet all day, I am a nurse and we work 12 hour shifts so by the time I get ho,e all I want to do is sit it does help that I only work 3 days a week but when you have 2 children and have tofit everything else that needs done into those 4 days it doesnt leave a lot of exercise time.

Just it slow. What you need to know is how do you feel. once you know then decide what you want to do about. then focus on the moment when you get the craving.

    Hello Monica,

I'm new to Alli, so new that I am just now on day 2 of watching my fat/calorie intake. Our stories are pretty much the same.  I couldn't find an update from you....I hope you're having sucess with your "new lifestyle" change.

    Good luck.

    Hello!

I started Alli today.. well, kind of.. for lunch and dinner :)  Tomorrow will be my first full day...

looking at losing 40-55lbs.. seems sooo far out of reach.. but I'm going to try to break them into mini goals of 10 :)

How do we communicate on here?  Can we actually message users?

    Good luck, everyone :)
