so if I have done a pretty intense work out and my muscles are pretty sore, isn't that the lactic acid in my muscles? And if so, that can be a cause of fluid retention, right?

    Re: lactic acid

    Hi Wendy,

Research shows that the delayed onset muscle soreness you feel is from the microscopic tears and trauma you have caused to the muscle from your workouts and from inflammation. Inflammation can induce fluid retention. Don’t lose your motivation. Remember achieving you weight loss goals is usually dependent on you sticking with your program over the long haul. There can be weeks of no weight loss or slight gain. Keep at it. You can do this!

    Keep me posted.

    Good Luck,

    Paul
