Re: Positively addictive fat free dessert

I don't want icecream all the time, which is probably a good thing.  When I do,,since I started Alli, I buy either the fat free or low fat, or sherbert.  It is  sweet and creamy with only 1 gram of fat.  Another dessert I like is cream chesse and sugar free jello.  I use 2 pks of sugar free jello, any flavor or mix your flavor, like lemon lime.  Do the soft set directions for the jello.  Take a pkg of softened cream cheese and mix it into the jello when it is at the soft set stage.  Put it back in the fridge for a while then enjoy.  You have your sweet and a little bit of fat.  Less fat if you use the low fat cream cheese.

I love this topic!   I don't love food, only love desserts, unfortunately.  the chocolate pudding made with skim milk and fat free whip. cream on top is a great idea and very yummy.  Also, ice cream that is already preportioned so that I don't end up eating 1 cup instead of 1/4 cup :)

Martha, I tried your pudding suggestions, and it is amazing!! I add a little extra cool whip (free, of course) for just a few extra calories, mix it really well and stick it back in the freezer. It is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ice creaminess has nothing on it!

Re: Positively addictive fat free dessert

My daughter and I just tried the Stoneyfield Farms low fat frozen yogurt and found them to be just right. They are low cal(140 and under for a half a cup) and 1.5-3.5 grams of fat per serving. They also contain 15% of the recommended daily requirement for calcium, so it is an added bonus. What I do is use an ice cream scoop, scoop it out the level it with a knife and put it on a cone(not sugar, but plain---30cal 0 fat). It's just enough to make me feel satisfied without hurting my plan.

Your goals and dates are very inspirational.  I am just on Alli for less than a week but I seem to be making progress.  I am not sure if it is the product or the website.  I was eating way too much sodium (my addiction) and NOT enough fat!!  Go figure.  I lost 3 lbs in 6 weeks before Alli and 4lbs since I began taking Alli.

Take a graham cracker put a dollop of fat free cool whip, put the other 1/2 on top and freeze.  They are just like ice cream sandwiches.
