    Friday Check-in Group

Well Friday group, this is the first week since starting alli on August 10, that I have not had any weight loss.  A little bummed, but not too much though, because I am still eating correctly, doing a lot of cardio exercise and a lot of strength training and even though my weight didn't go down any, my clothes are getting looser, my muscle tone is increasing noticeably, loose skin is not a problem so far, and I feel great.  I have to admit though, that I am a little anxious to see 199 and being stuck at 203 for a couple of weeks is causing just a little bit of anxiety.  Looking at the "big picture" though, being 49 years old and still able to lose 91 pounds in 194 days isn't anything to complain about, and my health has definitely improved significantly.

    Hi Cruble

Wow! Your loss is very impressive! Keep it up! I have to report a 7 lb weight change, I found my scale was 4 lbs off last week so I know some of it should have been from last week, but it's ok, the scale is back on and everything is wonderful. I am officially at the 15 lb mark! I am so proud of myself, and now that the weather is getting better I can start more outdoors activity. I am a little nervous though I leave today for a trip and it will be a week long and stressful, but if I can keep myself ffrom gaining too much I will still be ok, cause I'll be better than I was 5 weeks ago :)

    Hi:

You're doing great.  A 91 lb loss in 194 days is impressive.  I sure wouldn't sweat the one measly week with no weight loss.  When you compare it to the big picture it amounts to nothing.  Hey, you're only 4 little pounds away from seeing that 199 show up on your scale.  That is pretty darn close.  Keep up the good work.  You're an inspiration to us newbies!

    Re: Friday Check-in Group

Congratulations everyone.  I only lost 1 pound today, but I'm happy about that.  I ate out a couple of times . . . . you know how that is.  I also find it very difficult to eat 1800 calories and 60 grams of fat and i never eat that much.

Good luck in the next week.

    Re: Friday Check-in Group

tkk   I'm currently 205, and it's almost impossible for me to get in those 1800 cals and 50 g of fat!

That's why I went to my profile and edited my daily intake.. I took it down to 1600 cals and 39 g of fat... Besides that.. I was having a lot of gas if I tried to meet my goal.

    Re: Friday Check-in Group

Well, this past week I have really been hitting the exercise hard since I had been stuck at 203 for the past 3-weeks (which wasn't really bad, because part of that was due to the increased strength training I am doing, since I still lost some inches even though my weight stayed the same).  Finally this morning I broke through the "plateau" and hit 202 for a 1-pound loss and a total of 92 pounds overall-loss.  I was beginning to think I was going to stay at 203 and I really want to see 199 (actually looking to get to about 190 for a final goal and to lose over 100 pounds total).  Hope everyone else in the Friday group is having a good 'loser' week.

    Re: Friday Check-in Group

Not a great week for me, but it could be worse as I went overboard Tuesday night in an Italian restuarant.  I only lost a half pound this week. I don't think that even counts officially, but its my half pound and I'm gonna claim it.  Congrats to those who had a weight loss.  Good going, Charlie!  I'm glad you broke through the plateau.  92 lbs lost is awesome.  What an inspiration.

    Re: Friday Check-in Group

Hello all, I also have a Friday weight in.  I lost 2 lbs this week and am happy thus far with my progress even with all my set backs......very bad sweet tooth, anti depressant drugs and depo prevera.  I am not staying on the depo because for the past 5 years of being on it I have gradually gained weight about 15lbs per year so I will be happy once it is out of my system for good.  Luckily I have only had one episode of te's....that was enough and will guard against ever letting it happen again.  I have been working out 3-4 times a week and am seeing a transformation of my body, all of my cottage cheese is smoothing out on my rear and thighs and have dropped 3 pant sizes so far so stick with it everyone and do the best you can once you start seeing results that will be all the motivation you will need to keep it up.

    Good luck everyone,

    Tina

Good for you Tina!  Wow!  Three pants sizes dropped.  How long have you been on the program?  I have a sweet tooth also, which I am currently trying to overcome.  I loved hearing about the cottage cheese smoothing out.  That's great news.  I hope I am so lucky.  Keep up the good work.
