    Weight Watchers a

    Hi all,

I am restarting Alli.  I used it when it first came out and got a little bit of weight loss.  I have been doing Weight watchers for 5 days now and also using Alli.  Is anyone else combining the 2?? And are you willing to share some WW recipes.

    Thanks Shay

Ps I hope this forum is easier now

Arent WW and Alli the exact same? I mean, it's really just about limiting your fat and calorie intake, right???

An elementary teacher in Knoxville asked her students who their favorite team was for the big game coming up. Jimmy said- Well.. daddy is a tigers fan.. mama is a tigers fan.. so that makes me a tigers fan The teacher went to him and said- Jimmy.. if your daddy was a moron and your mom was an idiot.. what would that make you? Jimmy replied- A vols fan

    Re: Weight Watchers a

I've been doing WW for several months with some success. I'm just now trying Alli. I use the WW etools. I can tell you that the WW food log is MUCH better than Alli's. Maybe I'm just not used to it yet, but very few things I search for are there. I've had to create foods for almost everything I eat.

Just from reading the posts here, I'm concerned about reaching the fat goal. This is A LOT more fat than I'm used to. It will be interesting to see if meeting the Alli goal works with WW. I'm thinking it's going to blow my points sky high.

    Re: Weight Watchers a

    Hi RenaeIsOnAlli,

The primary difference between this plan and WW is the amount of fat that you are required to consume. You need to consume 30% of your calories from fat with this plan. Alli will be excreting 25% of that so you will only actually ABSORB a diet that has 22.5% from fat. Weight Watchers may be 22.5% fat, but once you add alli you are going to be going way too low in the amount of fat that your body is absorbing. I have a post about reaching your recommended amount of fat on the beginning of this board. Take a look at that post for more details on why you need to reach your fat grams for this to work.

Let me know if you have any other questions,

    Betty Kovacs, MS, RD
