    alcohol and alli

Hello...I have just started my low cal, low fat diet and am on my way to a new me.  However I am going to a wedding in a few months and was wondering how alcohol would effect me while taking alli.  Are somethings better to drink than others?  Is there a way to lose weight and still enjoy a good night out?

    Thanks

    Re: alcohol and alli

Alcohol has no effect on alli unless the drink contains fat (cream, whip cream, etc.).  However, alcohol has calories and they must be accounted toward your daily calorie recommendations.  You may enjoy a couple drinks once in a while but make sure to count those calories, they add up very quickly and you can easily end up drinking all your meal calories.

    • 4 oz wine = 150 calories
    • 12 oz beer = 150 calories to 170 calories for dark beer

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers!
