    Re: Subway

Thanks for the info Trish.  I struggle with the sodium with the frozen meals too.  Thanks for letting us know.

    Re: Subway

Your welcome.. I can truly sympathyze with the sodium struggle.  No matter how well the rest of the day went, I can't seem to tame the sodium, even when using mostly fresh ingredients, there always seems to be sodium hiding in the least expected places.  I've basically just come to a point where I try to avoid pre-prepared/processed meals and ingredients in an effort to get it under control.  My hubby has high blood pressure, and it runs in my family, so it's a pretty big concern of mine.

    Re: Subway

Definitely stay away from the tuna....my trainer said its one of the worst, and its also listed as the worst in "Eat This, Not That" which is a really helpful book which lists the healthy and not so healthy choices for a ton of fast food restaurants.  My trainer suggests getting either turkey, roast beef, or ham at subway.  Also they do offer light mayo.  I know this because I eat subway all the time.  Hope this info helps!

    Re: Subway

With the foot long for 5 bucks, who can pass it up.  It's enough for two days of lunch.  The six inch veggie delite has only 3 grams of fat and 230 calories, and I used low-fat Italian, so it was probable less than 230 calories.  It is filling, and you get a lot of veggies.  It's very hard to believe that all that bread is only 3 grams of fat!  The scale doesn't specify if it's white or wheat bread, only that a six inch Veggie Delight is 3 grams of fat.

    Re: Subway

I LOVE subway! I get the ham and no cheese on wheat, but before they put on the ham I ask them to remove the extra bread that is inside so that I cut the calories and get more veggies. Also, Honey mustard is fat free and slight calories!
