Re: Did you commit? Then why

Glad someone wrote it down.  I'm not sure if my posts are making it out there but glad yours are.  Also, the plan calls for at least 15 grams of fat per large meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner) and yet I'm still seeing posts thinking it's 15 grams a day and wondering why they are hungry.  Are people just not reading the materials?  It just seems silly to me to spend this money and not put the time into it to find out what's it all about.

I love the message boards but still having a bit of problem using them and cannot find any instructions.  Am I missing something too?

Re: Did you commit? Then why

Well said. By following the Alli plan I have had no TEs this past week. The risk of having the TEs has kept me from snitching my daughtler's left-over fries, chicken nuggets, etc. as I normally would. From past experience (I have literally lost over 500 lbs in my life - it just keeps coming back home) I know that as I progress my will power will start to wane. However, I'm counting on myAlli to keep me on track. For those of you not seeing any TEs: if you are following the program you will lose weight at a sensible rate, even without TEs. Relax.

I too have had pizza on the plan and also McDonalds, but I limited the amount of pizza I ate and at McDonald's I had a grilled chicken sandwich with no mayo and a side salad with fat free dressing.  I even ate a couple of fries from my son's Happy Meal.  I had no effects because I limited what I ate to fit into the plan.

Re: Did you commit? Then why

I'm kind of wondering why nobody has mentioned that they are exercising. The plan says you have to exercise if not but 30 minutes a day of walking or gardening or some other form of cardio. I've been on the pill for a week now, eating low-fat, staying within my calorie and fat intake range and I've been getting my cardio in every day. I've had NO TE's and I've lost 8 pounds. If you're a really busy person (like I know many of us are) try getting in at least a brisk 15 minute walk. You can do it. And don't be worried about not getting side effects. I've been reading some of these other blogs and I'm GLAD I haven't had any! (Some of these poor people are really going through it! LOL)
